I haven't just started, but I need more friends to help motivate me that I can motivate as well :) Anyone feel free to add me, I'll add you for sure :)

Apparently birkenstocks are a cure for PF. My trainer at school told me this.

Paleo is fantastic!! My Dad found it a year or so ago and he lost 30lbs. It keeps my mood good and my skin clear :) As an athlete though, I have to cheat a bit otherwise I find I get too dizzy from lack of carbs... So I eat rice a few times a month and oat bran when I feel I need it. I also eat dairy because my calcium…

take a hot bath or shower, then stretch. It seems to relax my muscles :) Also, after a hard workout like you had the other day, it helps me to not sit at a desk right afterwards. Keep your legs elevated and stretched out and it'll help them not lock :)

thanks for your guys' input :) I'm feeling better now. I'm just worried in a few days I'll get upset again and try to start losing.

Well I do, and my family is really pressurizing on being extremely thin. I run track, and since everyone on my team weight less than 130 lbs, even girls my height, they can't beleive I weigh so much. I don't know, when I think about my weight I feel sort of disgusting, like it needs to be a smaller number, even though I'm…

I exercise and lift 5 times a week, sometimes I just don't log it.

You can do it! I'm going to add you right now. :) If you need anything, advice, etc. feel free to message me!

Wow, sounds painful! Definitely sounds like a tracking problem- maybe a dislocated patella.... Go get it seen, and good luck!

Before I started MFP, I was eating Primal (not paleo, due to my being an athlete and needing more calcium), I dropped 20 lbs. I felt awesome. Honestly, I can't see myself going back to eating so many carbs. On a hard workout day I'll make some low carb carrot cake or muffins or something, or eat some yams but that's it.…

(Bump) Anybody with only a few pounds to lose still losing by eating back the calories?

Wow! This is awesome. I think I have similar thoughts when I'm running, although it may be a bit different for me since I'm on a team. I always try to "ego run" (as my dad puts it.), or run to prove to myself I can do it. I need to remind myself every day I'm running because I like to run, not because I'm proving to anyone…

^^^This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to do this. Thanks to everyone that answered!! :)

@Rubybelle- I'll try to plan my meals tommorow and see how that works out. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the responses! I drink at least 2 liters a day. I changed the settings so you guys can see my log (I don't log my water).

Like some others have mentioned, it could be that you're running too fast. Go at a walking pace and see how long that'll hold up, because your muscles may not be used to the motion yet. That may also be part of the problem- your muscles aren't used to the motion. It'll get easier with practice, just start slow and build…

Hard to tell, really. They have their ups and downs (as I'm sure you know). I use a HRM for cross country training and it really helps me because I know if I'm running too fast, slow, etc. just by how high my heart rate is. It also gives a very accurate calories burned measurement. I'd say, if you're more of an impulse…

This'll be my first mileage challenge ever, just lemme know if I do something wrong.. .:) Could you mark me down for 75? I ran 5.5 today.

You do eat more if you log your excersise. For instance, if you are supposed to be eating 1200 a day (without excersize), but then you run for half an hour and burn 200 calories, you need to eat 200 extra calories so that your NET intake is 1200 calories. Does that make sense?
