IF I am looking to keep calories low, I will get Laarb Gai...but then I usually get fried spring rolls and coconut sticky rice with mango, too.

I see a lot of that in our town. A lot of the people who have these nice things are the first ones to put their hand out for something free for their kids. I hate seeing people prioritize those things over not only their children's wants, but their basic needs. I have kids who come to school in clothes that are too big,…

I have Turbo Fire and Chalean Extreme. I like them both, but TF is pretty intense cardio and if that is not what you are looking for, I would say opt for Turbo Jam. Chalean is mostly strength training, but my edition did come with 3 cardio workouts and I like all of them. It really depends on what your goals are.

That's brilliant! Maybe use this time to focus on your core. Abs, lower back, etc can always use strengthening and that shouldn't hurt your elbow.

I work in an after school program at a Title 1 school. Some of our kids are very poor and according to the teachers I work with, many claim to be hungry all of the time. It's sad and I hate that the kids have to go through that because their parents are too poor/lazy/selfish/whatever to take care of their children.…

You may need to eat more carbs, especially when you exercise harder. Have you tried taking a recovery drink after working out? Some people like chocolate milk, orange juice or simple banana smoothies to help replenish their energy after a workout. I eat a few more carbs on cardio days than I would on strength days just…

Many of my carbs come from fruit and dairy. If you like eating either of those food groups, they are great source of naturally occurring carbohydrates.

So, do you mean you don't have a small frame and are having trouble getting "skinny"? Do you mean you have a lot of muscle, but a lot of fat covering it? If you are not a person with a naturally slight build, you can lose tons of weight and still not have that super skinny look. I know, because that is me  I have…

I plan out all of our dinners a couple of weeks are a time so I never have to wonder what I need to cook for dinner. It also helps me to balance out different veggies, proteins and carbs throughout the week. As for MFP, I take a few minutes at night to put in what I will eat the next day just to give me a through plan to…

I am at TDEE minus 10% which is 1730 for my calorie goal. I log my exercise minutes and input the calories as 1. I am steadily losing the chunk of of my middle and thighs lol, not much weight, though. I never close out my diary at the end of the day so I could care less what MFP says I will weigh.

BLT on 1 piece of bread with a Laughing Cow wedge. Snack size mini Hershey bar and diet Dr. Pepper.

Just find one with lower carbs and sugar and at least 20 grams of protein per scoop. Find one that you like the taste of or that you can cover the taste easily. I personally HATE protein flavor  and I would rather make a non supplement high protein shake. You don't need protein supplements to lose weight. Here's the…

I think just wear them until they are uncomfortable to you. I know that sounds weird, but clothes that are just TOO big can be just as uncomfortable as clothes that are too small. I can't stand either  Definitely treat yourself to a new pair that fit nicely though, if you can, even if they are second hand or from…

I think most people here lift because they like what it does to their body and for their mental state. There's nothing like feeling strong and powerful :glasses: As long as you set up your calories for your activity level, I think that you should do fine with EMWL-there's no difference noted in TDEE as to whether that…

Hi! I am 5'3" and currently 119 lbs. I am not looking to lose a lot of weight, just to get rid of some fat and add some muscle. I am currently eating 1730 calories per day and not eating back exercise calories. I work out 5 times per week for 30 minutes to an hour. If your goal is just to be thin, I had good results eating…

My goal has put me at 130 grams of protein per day and it is really hard to reach that sometimes. I have to eat all protein for breakfast ( 25 grams +), eat lots of meat cheese, yogurt and cottage cheese and add protein supplements most days. Instead of having a carb at dinner, I will usually eat more meat. That said, I…

Very inspiring post. More people should accept themselves and strive to be their own personal best without comparing to others. Health and happiness to you.

I'm tired of eggs too, but since I feel terrible if I start the day out with carbs or sugar, I am kind of stuck eating meat+eggs+cheese combo with the occasional fruit or toast thrown in there. I have started making omelettes and scrambles to change things up. On the weekends, I get up later so I tend to allow myself to…

I have this problem some days, too. I really have to try to avoid bread, processed foods, and starch veggies to stay under on carbs. If I can keep by breakfast very high protein and very low carb, I seem to do better for the rest of the day. My breakfast is usually eggs, meat and cheese. No toast, no cereal, no oatmeal…

I try for 30-40 minutes twice per week of high intensity cardio. I also try to add a HIIT after at least 1 of my strength training sessions every week.

The weirdest I have seen is when I type in Apple Butter, "Apple Butter-Egg Beaters" comes up.

I drink it almost exclusively. I like the Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla. The only thing I would not suggest is heating it up to make cocoa for mocha, heating it makes it taste weird. I do put it into hot coffee, though, and that is fine.

I don't think you look overweight at all, maybe just a little out of shape. Focus on making healthy food choices, starting an exercise routine and perhaps building some muscle. For me, when I take care of myself in those ways, I automatically feel more confident and comfortable with my body. It sounds like you are really…

"OMG that is a HUGE container...maybe it will make my muscles huge too!". LOL

I just started tracking Potassium yesterday. I was having heart palpitations and muscle weakness, turns out I am low on potassium. Feel much better after eating a couple of bananas and a Carnation breakfast thing. I think I will take your idea and run with it. :)

Yeah, I pretty much agree with you. It's important to eat clean and take in healthy foods most of the time, but it's also important to live your life and enjoy yourself. If you are a person who enjoys tasty food, then that is just part of it. I am a total food snob, I love food but I can't stand bad, crappy, overly…

Garlic, onion, cumin, smoked paprika, basil Garlic and onion-dried and powdered-go in everything I cooke except breakfast Cumin I use for anything that need a very savory, rich flavor Smoked paprika goes in most things, it adds a rich sweet smoky flavor that compliments most things Basil is great because I grow in my…

Even if you are eating carbs with you protein, you are still getting that protein in! It's not getting "cancelled out". You just need to work on balancing your numbers a little more. It's hard to go from eating "whatever, whenever" you want to eating with set nutritional and caloric goals in mind. Try to make small goals…

Since you know that you like to snack on un healthy things on the weekend, how about just plan it into your calories in advance. Perhaps you could make your meals smaller, lighter and with lots of veggies that way there is room for more snacking. Maybe set out a set amount of snacks that you are "allowed" to have over the…

That sounds really similar to what I do and I am set at moderate.
