Thanks! I am not looking for a quick fix at all. I actually just want to find a way to keep my weight from creeping back up as it seems to every so often. 5 years ago I changed my lifestyle from being sedentary and filled with processed and fast food to being active and eating natural, whole foods 90% of the time. I mean…

I really like Ruby Redbird, too. I actually am having one with dinner tonight :) If you have some spare calories to burn, the Bud Light Lime-A-Ritas are really good. 220 calories for 8 oz though...

No pics, but I like to blend equal parts Fage 0 and frozen berries in the blender with a little sweetener (Stevia for me). For 1/2 cup yogurt and 1/2 cup berries its about 100 calories and just like frozen yogurt.

I am by far no expert, but it looks like you need more protein and less processed/packaged foods. I find that not only am I starving when I eat too little protein, but that when I eat too many "convenience snacks" that I do not lose weight or feel very healthy. More veggies, more fruit and more protein would go a long way…

Honestly, like everyone one else has said, most food is processed in some way. Even produce..."baby carrots", pre cut salad mixes, even our fruit has some kind of weird coating on it that make it nice and shiny so people will think it looks pretty and buy it :) It is so difficult in a modern lifestyle and shopping in…

I LOVE CLX! I just started it again this week, I'm doing day 2 today. I like to eat high protein, low-ish carb. I try for 100+grams of protein and under 175 grams of carbs. My carbs are from fruit, vegetable and dairy sources, with very little grain in my diet. As for other exercise, on my "off" days from CLX, I run or do…

I brew 4 family size tea bags in 2 quarts of water for a few hours to make it super strong and then add 2/3 cup splenda and 1/3 cup sugar. I then stir in enough water to make a full gallon. I don't know how many calories, but I think it is around 500 or so for the whole gallon. It's still pretty sweet, too.

I have been eating 1 piece of r Sara Lee 12 grain to make a sandwich. It's 100 calories, but very good. I also buy La Tortilla Factor low carb tortillas. They are 60 calories and great for making wraps.

I am 114 right now, would like to get back down to 111. I know it's not much, but it makes a big difference in how I feel. Cardio isn't helping me lose any more though...it's all strength from here on out.

I cut up a bunch of raw veggies a couple of time per week and put them in a divided veggie tupperware that I have. I make sure to have ranch dip made with greek yogurt or hummus to eat them with. I make sure I get the veggie box out once per day at least and also try to eat a spinach salad on most days.

I made this last night 20 oz ground turkey (Jennie O) 1 package lower sodium Chicken Stove Top (crushed up) 1 egg a few dashes of worcestershire and soy sauce. Bake for about an hour at 350 Makes 8 servings Turkey meatloaf 235 calories 17 carbs 13 grams fat 16 grams protein

I find I need 20+grams of protein to keep me full at breakfast. I usually eat 2 eggs, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, coffee with 1oz half and half and about an hour later a piece of fruit or almond milk and banana blend. I eat this about 8:15 and I don't need lunch until 12:30-1:00

I would say that while it is probably not a nutritionally dense food, there are probably worse things you could eat. Just work it into your calories if you really enjoy it!

I like to eat a lot of protein; eggs, turkey bacon or sausage, ham, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, etc and follow it about an hour or so later with a fruit carb. It seems I can stay full for around 4 hours if I do it that way. If I over carb at breakfast, I WILL starve later in the day. I just can't do veggies at breakfast…

Nature Valley has a new bar with 10 grams of protein, if that's what you are looking for. They are good, but a little hard. My favorite is Larabar PB Chocolate Chip. Very satisfying for a sweet tooth and all natural ingredients.

I can't remember the last time I had "fast food" like BK, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, etc. I will eat 5 Guys, In N Out and smaller establishment fast food places. I don't like places that use poor quality ingredients, especially "pink slime" beef or "chicken" nuggets. Most of that is due to watching Food Revolution and seeing…

Check out Skinnytaste.com Her recipes are fantastic and usually fairly low carb.

It really sounds like he is struggling with depression, and as sad as that is, even you, as his wife, cannot help him unless he wants to be helped. I think you really need to focus on yourself right now and make getting fit a priority, if for no other reason than for your kids. It is hard enough to have one parent that is…

I totally agree! I lost 40 lbs about 5 years ago and have kept it off, aside for a 5 lb up or down here and there. It took me about 6 months to lose it all, but doing it the right way is why I have not put it all back on. I have traded in my sedentary habits filled with processed food with empty calories for a much…

Sounds about right to me. I pay $5 per 1 hour Zumba class and $10 for the 2 hour "Zumba Party" classes.

I am short too, barely 5'3" The only thing that really works for me is a high protein, no processed food diet with a combination of weight training and cardio. If you don't do any strength training, consider adding some a couple of times per week. It really seems to help. I know it's hard to lose weight as a short person :)

I started out with Chalene Extreme. I had never lifted at all before that and the program really made me love it.

I am over on sugar Every Single Day. It's all from fruit and not added sugar, I think that is the key. As long as you keep your added sugar intake to a minimum, I wouldn't worry too much about the sugar that comes from a couple of pieces of fruit every day. Fruit should be a part of a healthy diet, even if it puts you…

plain yogurt or sour cream works for me.

I just use Six Star protein that I pick up at WalMart. I know it is probably not the best protein, but it works for me and doesn't taste terrible. I just blend a scoop with a cup of almond milk and a few ounces of frozen banana slices or frozen berries. And yeah, I actually eat 1400-1600 calories per day, I starve on 1200.…

Today I had 2 eggs for breakfast, sliced turkey and greek yogurt at lunch, ham and bean soup for dinner. I was actually kind of low on protein today, but also low on calories. Not much appetite after the holidays. I also eat cottage cheese and do protein shakes. I also eat mainly quinoa instead of rice or pasta when I'm…

Hi! I'm stating fresh today after being off plan for a few months. I have some holiday weight to lose and need to get my muscles back :-) What always works for me is sticking to higher protein and lower carb counts. I try to make sure that my carbs are coming from fruits and vegetables, not grain sources and also really…

Strength training and eat a cleaner diet. Those are the only things that have helped me.

You are so prettty and I think you look great just the way you are!

If you want to start strength training, how about buying some resistance bands? They are cheaper than weights, come in different strengths and are very adjustable. Also, check out the Women's Health Big Book of Exercises, it's only around $10 on Amazon and has lots of things to do in it. It does a good job at explaining…
