  • What kind of water are you drinking? City water from the tap? Ugh! I have well water and it is the best tasting stuff I've ever had...can't get enough of it. Try getting a good bottled spring water and keep drinking. Your body is made up of mostly water and your body needs water to remain healthy. After a while of…
  • I don't eat at fast food places, so my favorite meals when dining out are at nice restaurants, which I only go to on occasion: 1) On Broadway - Blackened Tuna with Wasabi Sauce 2) Benny's Bistro - Grilled Bison Tenderloin with Wild Mushroom Risotto 3) Lucca's - Everything on the menu...!! LOL
  • You should donate both food and money to your local homeless shelter. They need it to help house and feed the homeless. Most of the people you see sitting on the corner holding up signs go to the homeless shelter at night where they are given a warm bed and a good meal.

  • Sorry, but it is absolutely impossible to lose weight without exercise. Exercise is what keeps your body in shape ~ and, by 'shape' I mean 'fitness', not looking like a model. Your heart is a muscle. It needs to be exercised to keep in shape. If you hate to exercise, I would recommend starting with just walking. Live in…

  • I eat oatmeal 3 x week - Organic Steel Cut Oats - and only add 1 Tbsp of Pure Maple Syrup to the cooking water.
  • I have the same problem. I just don't feel hunger pangs. Everyone keeps telling me that I am not eating enough, but when I'm not hungry I don't want to eat. I am active and yet I still need to lose weight. I'm trying to make myself snack during the day and have prepared sliced carrots, celery, etc. to munch on...just…
  • It depends on the type of hypothyroidism you have. I suffer from Hashimoto's thyroiditis which is a progressive autoimmune disease of the thyroid gland and results in hypothyroidism. Women are most commonly affected, and there is a familial predisposition to the disease. I check my TSH and T4 levels on a regular basis and…
  • I absolutely LOVE spinach and eat it on a regular basis. One of my favorite recipes is a Spinach-Rice Souffle. Here you go: About 2 cups cooked rice (I use a mix of Basmati, short and long grain brown rice, and wild rice) 3/4 to 1 cup cheese (I use low-fat mozzarella, but a mix of cheddar and mozzarella is also good) 2…
  • Hi everyone and a Happy New Year to you all. I am a 68-year-old widow who lives in a very rural mountain area of Montana. Currently it is very icy out, therefore, I hesitate to go walking. But, I did purchase a recumbent stationary bicycle last year and am working out on it in the mornings along with some 8 lb free weights…
