Don't know if this was already posted, but Kim's Magic Pop has been a saviour for me. I have about one a day for an open face sandwich. Gently cut in half with a sharp knife and eat it like a pizza. That snack will get me through anything. You can also use as a chip replacement and enjoy with dip. Only 3 carbs per disk.…

Well, does your breakfast have to consist of breakfast foods? Try a lettuce wrapped sandwich or an open face sandwich on a Magic Pop crisp (they're only 3 carbs). Or enjoy a leftovers for breakfast. I made a meatza the other day and had some for breakfast a couple of times last week. Making another one tonight. Just some…

I have an open membership at any 24 Hour Fitness. I live close to the location in Midtown area and am open to working out at any of the Galleria locations. I'm also looking for an early riser group that is interested in Couch to 5K at Memorial Park.

I have just redisovered the Tofu Shirataki (House Brand). They are much improved and very edible now. The texture and taste by itself reminds me of boiled egg whites. But after I rinse and prepare the noodles they remind me of lighter udon noodles. This is a great transition for me from regular pasta to whole wheat pasta…

Per my doctor... Start exercising first...Then quit smoking. If you're trying to quit smoking before you start working out...you will NEVER start exercising. I am that person that smokes about 5 cigarettes in the evening with my evening cocktails. But since I've been going to the gym ....the need for a cigarette has…

I'm committed to two days of Zumba at the gym (Tuesday & Thursday). My buddy who talked me into going just bailed on me tonight...but I'm going anyways. The other days I'm tryin to maintain the goal of getting to the gym at 4 a.m. and do the elliptical or treadmill 45 - 60 minutes. My next goal is to start doing a cycling…

I just realized this was an older post...but evidently still relevant...since I was actually trying to calculate calories burned for my Festival Walking today. It gave me some clarity. Smooches to MFP family!

Hi YukonJoy.... I must respectfully disagree with you. I had to miss my regular workout today because of scheduling conflicts. Instead I ended up walking 3 hours with my 4 year old niece in downtown Houston at the Ice Sculpting Competition and other sites. Let me say..That was a workout because I am absolutely drained. I…

WoW...That is soooo weird that I just saw your Post. I have my inital goal to lose about 40lbs... From 180 to 140...but I almost changed my goal on here to 130. I think once I hit 140 I'll probably be excited and settled with that for about a week or so then I'll go in for the homerun of 130lbs.

Had a wonderful date tonight..I just was not hungry and we had a great time...Talked for 2 hours...I had Gumbo w/o the rice...Actually didn't finish my bowl(was not intentional)...But found out he just lost 36 pounds via low carbing. Blah...Blah...Blah... No stress from this first date bcuz of Foodie diet issues

Lookin up the menu ahead of time... Thanks a bunches!

BTW..I'm really not that psycho person that would be fighting with her inner food demons on a date. I'm not worried about being OCD on a date about my food choices...I just know that this last minute notice (4 hour notice) get together was not part of my "plan" to get back on track with my weight loss journey. I would…

I wish I was able to "like" your reply... Thanks for the sound advice.

YAY!! I figured it out how to post with a previous post! quote And BTW...I think my beauty and wonderful convo will not be oversighted by my lack of desire for fried shrimp and Fondue Dip. The date is about getting to know the person and their personality..not how much cheese sticks or buffalo wings were downed. IMHO…

I'm not quite sure how to edit my reply with "quote post"...but let me try this again... Naw! I ain't going out like that! It's only day two of my journey! If I was one or two months in..then i would be more open to a total cheat night...BUT NOT DAY TWO!!! Appreciate your input but...NEXT!!

[/quote]On a date you will blow it if you don't just eat and have a good time. If you go on about some silly diet tonight, forget having him ever call you again. Let today be your weekly "free day" - HAVE FUN! And tomorrow, buckle down, and no more dates until next week unless the date is meeting at the gym for a workout…

I'm In!!! I just found this site today and I love. I was looking for a weight loss app on my phone...but the full site gives me a great view of all MFP has to offer. Sabrina
