Great job! And I so needed to hear this :) I have tried C25K a bit when I was even more out of shape than I am now, and it felt like a struggle, and I couldn't commit to 3 x a week. The past few times I've ran, I did a mile, and tonight 1.5 miles without stopping. I plan on just increasing the total length of the run each…

In a word.......patience.

Beautiful post! I am learning to forgive myself for treating my body like crap for 40 plus years and trying hard every day to talk positively to myself and love myself. Sometimes the "oh my I can't believe you're so stupid" slips out...so I'm a work in progress. I'm often better at supporting others than I am myself. You…

Also, small seedy type foods (nuts, whole grains, etc) can really aggravate diverticulitis. If you don't have that diagnosis, I would agree with others...ramp up slowly.

I would give it a bit longer. I started with calculations similar to yours, my deficit is a bit larger because I have more to lose. It took 7 weeks for the weight to start moving down. I just feel better eating at this amount, so it's worth the wait for me. Best wishes to you!

Terrific work!

You are doing amazing! Great job!!

I think the only thing to change is your perspective, and find your patience. If you are eating foods you are happy with eating for the rest of your life, enjoy the ride. You are doing terrific, but as you build muscle, you may need to eat a bit more. I wouldn't suggest less.

Best produce sales ever...and if you're not happy with the quality, you can always price match at Wal-Mart.

I'm so glad you're here, I think this will really help you out! There are some amazing losses on here and when I get blah, I just go check out the befores/afters in the message boards and it keeps me focused!

Great job! I started pretty much one day before you, on December 27th 2011. I've lost about 90 and have a LOT more to go but I know I'll get there! Congrats on your success!

1.) I found an activity I love and don't dread doing....Zumba. 2) I've finally learned that one mess up won't ruin all your efforts. 3) I've found patience with the scale, my body does not drop weight every week, sometimes it's every 3 to 4 weeks. So like you, I have found peace in the journey. Best wishes to you!
