The Blendtec has NOTHING on the Vitamix.

The Vitamix is my most favorite thing ever in life.

Hello. I've been here since the end of January and the reason I keep at it is because it is not a diet. It is a LIFESTYLE change. Keeping that in mind, I know that I will not always be perfect, but tomorrow is another day. There is no way to fail when changing your lifestyle, but under the guise of dieting - there is…

I've been married for 2 years and I haven't told my mother. I tried about a year and a 1/2 ago - and she flipped out. So I told her I was joking, because I don't need the stress. Thankfully, she lives in the next state over, but she doesn't drive and we haven't gone to see her since Christmas 2010 :o But one of these days…

it's not amazing. it's actually pretty repulsive.

Doesn't matter to me. People are going to be judgmental regardless. At least we spend the money we have honorably. We don't waste it on garbage, or alcohol, or drugs. I have no reason to be ashamed of helping my mother in law pay her mortgage. My life won't change either way because the people on MFP know that…

Must you be so obnoxious?. Stating that I don't know what it's like to be broke, when just 2 days ago my husband only had $6.00 in the bank, is laughable! When you have to pay to keep a roof over your head, as well as pay for your Mother In Law's $4,000 MORTGAGE - plus your own family bills and living expenses, (including…

I don't understand what it means to be broke? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? My husband had $6.00 to his name until he got paid a couple of days ago. It was $16, but he needed gas. We live right by NYC. Nothing is cheap here. NOTHING. We pay an $800 Maintenance fee, just to keep a roof over our heads. Plus Electricity, Food bills,…

Then next time make to keep your implications to yourself and there won't be a problem. :drinker:

The fact that you felt the need to tell me your life story was unnecessary. It was rude to imply that the HRM I purchased was USED simply because I bought it on ebay. You felt it was important to state you would buy a " *new* one at Kmart " and it had the same connotation as if I had searched through a dumpster for it, or…

The strap is really comfortable. You don't feel it...it's not as if it's made of metal. That would be torture! It's softer than a bra strap and is padded. If I had cardiac problems I might feel differently, but it does cause any pressure to chest. If anything, my bra puts my pressure than the hrm chest strap. A wrist HRM…

I NEVER asked for anyone to elaborate. I just didn't appreciate the IMPLICATION that the one I purchased was USED simply because I bought it off of Ebay. "Geez!"
-
The one I got on Ebay is a Polar FT7 and one of the reasons I got it is because it's waterproof and I love to swim.
-
well it was wet/slightly slimy before i baked it...actually it's not even done baking, it's still in the oven
-
Just trying to figure out if you are trying to imply that my HRM wasn't new? (For the record, it was UNUSED and Sealed in it's original package) If I was scraping pennies together, I really wouldn't turn my nose up at Ebay...Just a thought. :)
-
Me thinks tis' why they invented Ebay. Tis' where I picked mine up, many moons ago. (for 50% off the retail price)

Bought some Organic kale at trader joes a week or so ago, and decided to use it today without realizing the "Best by date" was August 2nd. It's not moldy, it was however a little on the "wet" side. I decided to bake it and make spicy kale chips, and I'm just wondering if wet (perhaps slightly slimy?) kale that has been…

You can eat chipotle without being excessive...I used to get my veggie burrito bowl with a ton of rice, way way way too much. now I limit myself a lot and I manage to stay at 400-450 calories and under 1,000mg of sodium. my veggie burrito bowl is also low in fat. :)
-
Even before MFP, I never ate "fast food" As a lifelong vegetarian, those places never appealed to me. I do like chipotle though that is considered one of the most healthy "fast food" places. I used to get way too much rice. I still go there, but I limit my rice to 1 scoop of white and 1 scoop of brown, and I also make sure…

:noway: Saw a lot of responses like this...Why would anyone bother using MFP's GUESStimate when you can use an HRM with a chest strap that actually measures your expenditure?

your reading is very inaccurate. a heart rate monitor is not meant to be worn all day. it is meant to be used for activities where you exert more energy than you normally would, such as running, using an elliptical, zumba, swimming if it's water proof, etc. etc. etc. If you attempt to use a heart rate monitor for walking…

i'm about to hit my 200th consecutive day, if you consider that active... :o

Almond milk is just better for you. I've never consumed dairy milk as a beverage, on cereal, in oatmeal or smoothies. I find the idea of it absolutely disgusting. To those who mention SOY MILK: Soy milk is evil, toxic and loaded with Phytoestrogens

clearly you're not very observant. the lines of her cheeks that extend from her nose down towards her mouth look like giant, deep creases. Kind of like cosmetic surgery gone wrong. Not the worst I've seen, but certainly not the greatest.
-
@11Jayme11 you have very deep set creases in your face. they look odd, sort of out of place. So, No

Attention? Hardly. None of you have "WOWED" me. get over it sweetie, bitterness doesn't become you.
