Most weeks I eat all of mine, sometimes 80% or so. I don't stuff myself on purpose to use them but I fully understand the need to be fueled and I'm always hungrier on good workout days. I also sometimes carry them over a day. I left about 250 calories on the table yesterday because I'm going out for dinner tonight and I…

Good plan

aren't you the same poster that wants to lose 50lbs in 5 months? If so, you're going to have to work out a lot harder than that every day.
-
I do the same with the banking of calories. I love the weekly view on the App. Makes going out on weekends easier as I know I have a few spare. I just aim for a full week at my goal calories. Some days I'm up and some days I'm down...it all works out. Your body doesn't have an expiry date on calories.

I think you should up it a bit for two reasons. 1. I don't think it's enough for your size and 2. You're struggling with sticking to it. Increase it to a rate that you're still losing but feel comfortable eating in that range. Weight loss is hard as it is but we don't need to eat like a bird and make it worse. I'm on…

there are lots of good answers but really, you need to find something you love to do and will stick with. Give all the cardio machines a try, who knows what you'll be drawn to, but definitely add lifting.

There is no alcohol police on MFP (Thank God). Of course you can drink...but you have to decide if you want to splurge your calories on. It's a no brainer for me, there will not be a week without wine..EVER :)

If I put two pounds a week in as a goal I would get 1,200 but that's too quick for the little I have left to use. I have mine set to 1,500 and I'm usually a bit under. Never hungry, losing nicely, lots of energy, sleeping well. I'm sticking with 1,500.
-
900? are you a garden Gnome? How many did MFP say you should be eating? to lose 130 lbs OMG, you can't survive on 900 or even 1,200 calories. Please read some of the info here and trust MFP to set your calories to start with.
-
You're driving yourself nuts trying to do both. Pick one! I lost 30 lbs on momentum, hated Points Plus and then found MFP. I would never, ever go back to WW. BUT...if you need the weekly meetings then perhaps that's the structure you need. WW points don't make you lose or gain weight, Calories do, so to me why would I…

Just my opinion, but if I was you, I'd up my daily calories to at least 1,400 and then eat back at least half of your workout calories. that way you're always going to net over 1,200. Do it for a month or so and see how you feel. Baby steps! going from 3,000 - 4,000 calories down to 1,200 is a brutal shock to the body and…

I think you just answered your own question :flowerforyou:
-
So the day you have a 1,000 calorie meal the rest of the day you only eat 200? Whatever works, but holy cow only netting 400 calories a day, :explode:
-
What the hell does 1,200 calories of broccoli look like? :noway:
-
Absolutely have to count it. Weight Watchers Points Plus where fruit and veg is free is set up to expect that you're consuming at least 200 calories a day in fruit and veg.. it bases it's points that it gives you on this.
-
Isn't this a bit misleading? aren't you consuming a lot of your calories that you burn in your one cheat meal?
-
Weight Watchers meals are full of sodium. Becareful.
-
reduce your calories slowly over the next couple of weeks to get back into the swing of it. Don't force yourself to be too restrictive too quickly.
-
I don't plan a "Cheat" day but I still have a life to live which includes going out. Saturday we went for brunch and I had eggs benedict and hasbrowns and a pint. Over the course of a week I worked out a little harder, left some calories on the table and my week ended up with me only being 100 calories over plan. I don't…

I prelog the night before for a weekday. Weekends tend to be a bit more log as I go.
-
Excellent - good to know. Instead of DH and I going on our 5 1/2 mile hikes 3 times a week, we'll just sit on the couch :noway:
-
Couldn't the same be said for any exercise that is tracked through MFP alone? why restrict it to walking. It overestimates pretty much everything.
-
Yeah, it's kind of hard to tell, they talk about finding jogging up stairs but can't find walking..does that mean just general walking or walking up stairs.
-
Complete BS. I lost 30 lbs and most of it was with walking 3 - 5 miles a day. Anyone using a fitbit automatically adds walking to the calories earned. It's all going to depend on how you set yourself up on MFP. If you picked Sedentary, then you absolutely should count your walking.
-
about 4 1/2 months for me.
-
OP.... let me start by saying that nothing is off limits with MFP but you have to be meeting your macros first. Are you getting all of your proper nutrition with 1,400 calories and eating ice cream and pepperoni? if so, then WTH....but I fear you're not. There's very little protein and a ton of processed foods in your…
-
Hilarious! do you actually think you stop burning calories when you sleep? you're not dead. To the OP, I have both, Fitbit One all day and the HRM when I'm doing a new activitiy and want to know how much it burns. I had the HRM alone for about a year (polar FT4) and found it very useful. Loving my fitbit though and find…

I'd hit a department store and see what they have or a specialized sports store. The Strap doesn't do anything, it just needs to fit the face.
-
Not really new. It was in the Program before Momentum and Momentum came out in 2008. Momentum changed the way they were used though. Previously to 2008 it was use them the day you earned them now it's use them over the course of a week.

The most widely used diet program on the planet (weight watchers) uses this concept in earning and eating Activity Points.
