No two scales will ever give you the same weight measurement. In fact, my doctor's scale was always way worse than my digital one at home. Just be patient and disciplined and those jeans will loosen up.

I prefer to watch The Jersey Shore when I run on a treadmill as that requires zero thinking at all. When running outdoors I think about how I'm going to approach a hill or take advantage of a long and flat straight away.

What works for me is to have two to three a day depending on if I've worked out or not. As other posters have mentioned I try to adhere to the 1g / 1lb lean body mass. Myoplex Original in Chocolate or Strawberry. 42 grams protein; 290 calories; some fiber; not a lot of sugar; a little bit of fat. I guess the calories and cost are the down side. Taste is awesome, and I know this sounds stupid, but my workouts are always best when on this particular protein.

Look up the Bodybuilding Protein Delight in the recipes. May need to change it for caloric intake but for me, in which I strive for 200+ grams of protein a day, it does wonders. Give it a try.. I think it tastes quite good.

I would find a cross fit gym and give it a try. Great form of weight training and a way to have some fun / competitiveness while doing it. Only downside is that the gym membership tend to be quite high.
