Feel free to add me too-- I log in every day and am training for a 1/2 marathon. Looking to give and receive lots of motivation :)

I'm proud of myself because even though something difficult and disappointing happened today, I have *not* given into emotional eating. I have stayed on track and kept food out of the issue. I'm also way faster at running than I was a year ago and feel more toned than two months ago.

That moment when I wore the same sleeveless dress to Valentine's Day dinner as I wore to a December work holiday party and my boyfriend said-- wow, your arms are looking toned!!! Have you been becoming best friends with Jillian Michaels lately? I couldn't believe he could tell a difference without me even mentioning it!

Feel free to add me. Don't let the scale get you down. If you're exercising a lot, make sure you stay within your calorie limit and take some measurements of your body-- muscle weighs more than fat. I've literally only lost 3 pounds, but my pants that used to be snug are falling down and require a belt. Keep on doing what…

Feel free to add me as well. Always looking for extra motivation. I log in daily and am working toward a 1/2 marathon!

About this time last year when I got back into running, I could hardly do 20 minutes consecutively. Over the past year, I have gone from running something like 10:30min/mile to 7:15min/mile. I've also really come to love running because once you get started you build the stamina to feel good about it. Here are some tips.…

The first time I did level one I thought it was too easy and had no effect, so I did the entire 25 minutes all over again that day. I was definitely sore the next day even though I didn't feel it at first. I try to go as deep into every stretch, squat, move etc and also use 5 pound weights, for some I use 7 pounds. Hope…

Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred is pretty good. You can get this on your computer on Amazon Instant for under $10. I do it with 5 pound weights and can definitely feel it in my arms, well everywhere else too. I also really like the videos by The Firm including "The Ultimate Fat Burning Workout." Lots of arms exercises, but…

I love it as well. I log it as "circuit training," the same way I would log Insanity videos or Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. I'd say it's very effective and you will feel sore the next day!! The instructor makes all the difference, so if your gym has it at multiple times with different instructors try at least two to…

I'm 24 and looking to lose about 10 more pounds as well (5 down), but really becoming toned and fitting in my clothes is what matters most. The day I fit back into my skinny jeans, I'm ready to maintain my weight. I also do triathlons and am training for a half marathon. Feel free to add me!

I have done a few triathlons and one of the greatest parts about the races is that there are people of every size, shape and age competing. A couple of recommendations of things that helped me are: 1. First build a base in each sport. Run, spin class, and swim (45 min-1 hr) every week from now until the race 2. Gradually…

I almost always run outside and used to feel dizzy pretty often-- I think partially a combination of low blood pressure and sun/dehydration. Now when I run, I always bring a bottle of water with me and if I'm running more than 5 miles, some kind of small supplement like Sport Jelly Beans (100 calories for one packet). When…

I've been following a Runner's World training guide, and it says to run 10 miles the Sunday before and then 2-4 miles Tues, Thurs, and Sat before the Sunday race. That's what I'll plan on doing for mine in March.

I find if I have a snack between breakfast/lunch and then lunch/dinner, I end up feeling more satisfied by the end of the day. Sipping a cup of herbal tea while watching TV at night usually works for me. Fruit, nuts, and/or Greek yogurt are always good for a small healthy snack too!
