  • I struggle with this a lot. I breastfeed and automatically need 300 extra calories for that. Before I realized I could put it under my food section and it would automatically deduct those calories from my total, I put them in my exercise diary and RARELY ate them which helped me to lose weight faster, but also created a…
  • So I've lost almost 4lbs so far and apparently it is starting to show because relatives have mentioned how I look slimmer and like I am finally starting to lose the baby weight. My main problem is my will power to stay away from temptation. i am able to for the most part, but when it comes to certain carbs and chocolate, I…
  • I have a friend who has the 30 day shred, so I might ask to borrow hers! Thanks! qtiekiki - any suggestions for interval training for someone who doesn't have many weights or anything around? I've seen a couple of interval training exercises On Demand, I might give those a try for now
  • Hellz yeah!! I've been waiting for this for soooooo long!!! I can't wait. I am going to watch the you know what out of it. I'm so excited, it's making me all teenager-ish about it!
  • I agree with frozen fruits and veggies. Also, planning out each meal can really help you stay on track and not buy any extra things you won't need (at least it's helped me!) Some stores also reduce certain foods if they are close to expiring, you can stock up on those and throw them in the freezer and take them out once…
  • Lately, my favorites have been yogurt, a bowl of mixed fruit, or baby puffs or yogurt bites.. .all baby snacks are incredibly yummy and very low cal! :)
  • I agree, talk to a doctor about it. As far as I know, no one here is an expert and will know enough to give you accurate information.
  • I've been really bad with the 100 squat challenge... but I make up for it by restarting my count for the 100 days every time I skip a day. I'll look into a pedometer.. do they also tell you how fast you go, because I've been wondering that too!
  • Add me too! I am at about 248 and want to re-evaluate at 160, but I think my ultimate goal will be around 140
  • It really is tough fitting it in, isn't it? I don't know that I can do the YMCA until I get myself a car, but I have heard of the series you are talking about. Right now, I've been using the 10 minute workouts from On Demand which are fun and I'll sometimes do bits and pieces of the longer workouts they offer too, but I…
  • i would love to join you guys if that's alright! I've posted my goal below :) ~Allie7383- PR in my Disney Half Marathon, be under 145, log 5 days a week and drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. ~Skreal89 - break the 210 mark for the first time in 3 years; run 4 miles without a walking break; burn 6000 calories a…
  • Great motivator.. really makes me want to reach my goal weight now. Thanks!
  • This was my first time having to file taxes and I was really surprised to get anything. I work freelance and money doesnt come out of my pay for taxes as I work on a temporary contract basis for my writing. I qualify for a ton of deductions, but since I don't pay anything out, I thought they could only equal it out to zero…
  • I need to lose about that (I am re-evaluating at around 90lbs) please feel free to add me (open invitation to everyone!)
  • I add in my breastfeeding calories and I HAVE to eat those. As for the exercise ones, sometimes I do, but I try to keep it healthy and nutrient rich..sometimes I feel guilty eating them!
  • I just wanted to be able to not feel like an ogre standing next to people. To be able to go to the store and not have to search all the way in the back of the rack for my size only to find out they don't even make clothes that large. So I could feel more feminine. So I won't have to face the embarrassment when my fiancee…
  • I am just under 5'8 and my goal weight is about 140lbs... with my build and body shape, I think that would be a good weight for me, but I won't know til I get there!
  • Wow, you look awesome! That is so great to see! I only just started to actually work off my baby weight (my DD is 10months old! Eek!). I did just the diet thing for a while and hit a wall, so I've started walking every day now plus a bit of cardio/pilated to really work the core at home and already see results. I know what…
  • I had a c-section almost 10 months ago and that area is kind of hard to get and once you start working it, you can feel the incision area start to feel tight - not very comfortable at all! I've started doing some pilates that really works out that area and your entire core pretty well. I've only just started, so I don't…
  • My DD is 10 months old.. I don't nurse her, I exclusively pump because we had latch issues at the beginning and now she just doesn't 'get it'. I pump four to five times a day now and I don't plan on weaning myself off the pump until she is well past 12 months because I also donate milk to a mama with twins. I drink tons of…
  • I am way late on this, but I am going to join you anyway! Wow... 100... I will aim for 100 tonight, but no promises!
  • Thanks, I'll look it up! :)
  • Nothing at the moment, but I am waiting on some yarn by Becoming Art and Creatively Dyed for two cowls - one for my friend and one for my mom
  • Hi everyone! I am a new mom and a new knitter. I am from New Jersey, but am kind of international-ish in that I lived int he UK for five years and am trying to move back by the end of the year. My weight has always been a constant struggle, especially with PCOS and then having my baby. I am still 20lbs away from my…
  • I need to invest in one. The hair just grows so fast! I know a lot of women who decided to not take Clomid every monh as well. Are you also taking Metformin? A few were able to still get preggo on a Clomid free month because they were on Metformin still. I didn't need fertility drugs so I am not all too knowledgable on…
  • I exclusively pump for my DD and not taking any weight loss goals in consideration, you are technically allowed 500 extra calories every day. I would not use those all those extra calories though and instead focus on eating a well-balanced diet and drink plenty of water to ensure you have a good supply of some good milk :)
  • I pluck and all under my chin is one big dark area from it. I am always trying to hide it and never tilt my head up very far because of it. It's one of the most embarrassing things I've ever had to deal with.
  • i'd love to join the PCOS group :) I was diagnosed when I was 18 (I am 24 now) and I was never under 200lbs. In fact, 220lbs was probably my lowest in my entire adult life. I never really followed a specific diet plan per se, but I kept up with all organics and loaded up on veggies and some fruit too. I used to exercise…

  • I have PCOS, but I have a baby (that I conceived after losing weight in 2010 with the help of myfitnesspal) I know this is a vent place, but I do want to also encourage you. It is possible to lose enough to conceive! Getting the baby weight off though....that's an even harder battle! Dear PCOS, I hate how you mock us with…
  • Thanks for the help and advice..I've saved the blogs and websites! The problem is that we both take turns doing the grocery shopping (I am living in his house atm) so when I go with him and he is the one paying that time, It's hard for me to sneak in too many low-fat, etc things. A lot of times I do end up having to make…
