TJ Maxx and Ross! I've cleaned them out of all the good XL stuff, and I'm about to go back and clean out the Mediums in a few more weeks. :D

they wanted $250 a month for our family (2 adults, 2 kids), and the kids weren't allowed to use any equipment, only attend classes. (My 12 year old can take a psychology course from Yale but she can't use your treadmill? Please.) I laughed and said we'd just save up for 4 months and buy all the equipment for ourselves. And…

Well, I'd think you could probably eat all the vegetables you want without it being a problem, but fruit is a lot more calorie-dense.

M-F - minimum 15 minutes on the elliptical, but usually I can talk myself into at least 30-45 minutes once I get started. 7 days a week - 15 minute workout of Sun Salutation cycles, plus extra if I am having pain that needs addressed. Also, at some point during the week, I attend a formal yoga class of at least one hour.…

Typically I can't lose any weight during ovulation week, and often I will go up 2-3 pounds that week. Then it all comes back down to normal once the flow starts.

I think people do it to get the protein with less of the fat, but bleah! I'd just as soon eat rubber bands. Also I hate the idea of wasting 1/2 of every egg that our poor chickens have worked so hard to make. I only do it if I have a plan in mind for using up the yolks some other way. Which is basically never.

I have had regular bouts of depression all of my life, but no - I think my eating has more to do with stuffing down emotions in a more general sense, and with "taking care of myself" when I feel like my needs are not being met in other areas, than with the depression.
-
Yep, I do. And so far I almost always see the pounds lost the morning after that splurge, and not before.

It's been three months. Now if it had been a year, that's a different story. I think at three months it's more important to just watch each other and see how each does things on their own, rather than trying to change each other's behaviors. If it were me, I would have just filed away the knowledge for a while and then…

I'd like to get down to 150. That's still technically overweight for my height, but my boobs actually weigh 14 pounds all by themselves, so any thinner than that and I start to look like a carnival sideshow and women are mean to me.

My goal is to do 15 minutes on the elliptical each day when I'm working out of the office. If, after 15 minutes, I feel like I can go longer, I do. But I do at least 15 minutes no matter how miserable it is. In addition, I attend at least one yoga class a week, which is at least one hour long. (this week's routine was 3…

Yeah. I've lost all the weight before and was pretty dismayed that, the closer I got to my goal, the more people kept trying to push me to "relax" about it, to ease off, to take a break, etc. And when that didn't work, then they got "worried" about me, that I was losing too much weight, etc. It definitely is more about…

I can see this working only if you eat nothing but raw, plain vegetables without any dressings or sauces, or plain vegetables steamed in water with nothing added. Otherwise, you do need to count them, because a tablespoon of dressing here, a sprinkle of cheese there, and a pat of butter will add up just the same.

False. But as with most things, it depends on a lot of factors. Such as whether the relationship is meeting everyone's needs, and whether the people IN the relationship are fully in touch with themselves and their emotions/motivations.

I bring leftovers from dinner, half sandwiches and salads or salads with some protein on them. For snacks I'll bring a couple pieces of fruit and/or a yogurt. Also I keep a jug of V8 juice in the work fridge at all times in case I need something extra.

I don't know, man. Making *any* sort of comment about a person's physical appearance is pretty much verboten in the environment I've worked in most of my life.

in oatmeal or other hot cereals, with celery, with apple slices, with honey on a warmed corn tortilla, mixed with cocoa powder on toast....

Husband: "Did you know that pork is great for stopping nosebleeds? Pork: The Other Nasal Tampon."

Hey, you should check and make sure you're not also allergic to brazil nuts, or tree nuts in general. My husband is, and the allergist told him that often this allergy goes together with a banana allergy *and* an allergy to certain types of vinyl, like what they use in the dashboards of older cars. Allergies are so weird.…

I'll be happy to be able to shop in a regular size store again, instead of always seeking out the plus sizes. It annoys me that plus sized clothes are so often shaped like boxes or tents...hey, I still have a nice waist, ok? :( I'd love to be more comfortable wearing the tops that are in right now, but in reality I'll…

you can use breadcrumbs or crush up some crackers. if you let the chicken sit in the fridge for half an hour after coating it with the crumbs, the coating will stick pretty well and then you can do the final dip in egg and cornflakes to get that nice crispy outer coating.
-
I don't really have specific mini-goals set, but when I drop 2 more sizes I'm going to celebrate by shopping in a normal store instead of a plus section. :D

I'm sorry you're so distraught. 43 is a bit young, I understand. Early menopause runs in my family, my mother and grandmother both had it at 30. I am 38 and beginning it myself. I hope you have had the children you wanted to have, at least. If so, then yay, at least no more period hassles, right? I am so far not having…

Yeah, you need to get to the doctor as soon as possible. This sounds very much like my early pregnancies. I also had stretchmarks start before I even had a belly showing. Hormones can cause that to happen.

Yeah, removing all the bad stuff from the house might help a bit. Then, if you really want something, you have to actively go out and seek it. Otherwise, are you still exercising? I find that on days I exercise, I don't overeat as much. I really hate working out so once I invest that effort I don't want to waste it. Plus…

I've got my suspicions about the MFP calculator exaggerating a bit, too. But I read on the boards that it takes into account not only the calories burned during the actual workout, but the increased metabolic burn that lingers for a few hours afterwards, which makes it seem more reasonable. Gotta say, too, that when I'm…

I'm not a big fan of breakfast food, either. Why not just eat leftovers from dinner the night before? Or a half sandwich? I also can't face the thought of food too early in the morning, it turns my stomach. I have skim latte in the mornings, which keeps me from being in starvation mode but doesn't gross me out like the…

don't force yourself, but have a few dense things maybe? cheese, maybe a few pieces of dried fruit, some hearty greek yogurt?

Me: Did you realize Chicken, TN got hit by the tornadoes? Just left a client there, it was a mess! Husband: Google maps sez there is no Chicken, TN. What's yer 20? Me: c-h-u-c-k-e-y. Thanks autodefunct.
