  • Regardless of why people say that, whether they're being sincere or not, my advice would be to stop losing when YOU want to. You'll know better than anyone else when you feel good about yourself.
  • It gets a little easier when you're in your 40s. NO! Im kidding. Good luck. It takes some resolve and some patience but it can be done. This site can be a big help. Once again, good luck.
  • Good luck. Im from Lafayette. It's a little easier to diet over here than in New Orleans but not much. Lotta good stuff to eat here too but at least I don't have to stare down a Cafe du Monde everytime I go downtown so for now, I'll just turn on the game tonight, and eat my stir fry veggies and fish and probably hit the…
  • Good luck Jewlz. The first thing I did was get a digital scale. It's easier to see the pounds coming off this way. This is one thing that helped me stay motivated.

  • When jogging/walking on a hot day, you're no longer embarrassed to pull your shirt off and tying it around your waist to finish your jog. Until this week, I left my shirt on no matter what, but it gets really hot an humid down here at this time of the year regardless of what time of day it is, and ripping your shirt off…

  • Do you take fish oil? I overheard someone the other day saying fish oil can cause hair loss in some people. I have no idea if that's true or not though
  • I never noticed it until I read this. yeah, thanks. it's kinda like holding an AA meeting in a bar.
  • I usually eat about one of these per day, either for lunch or dinner, depending on my work schedule. Usually Healthy Choice, Lean Cuisine, Smart Ones, or the Lean Gourmet that you mentioned. They're a lifesaver for me and they keep me from having to throw down a Big Mac or Whopper when I'm in a pinch for time. They usually…
  • I have a digital scale and record my wt on Thurs. and Mon. mornings but I often weigh myself in between to make sure I'm still heading in the right direction. It hasn't been a problem for me at least if you weigh yourself at the same time every day, and I agree with the above, it seems to push me to exercise even more.
  • Well thanks everyone this helps. I think I'll continue to use it as a general guide and timer. Best I can tell I probably walk at a pace of 4 mph so, I'll just continue to concentrate on distance and pace.
  • Thanks m.r. and good luck to you
  • Hmmm. I bought one a couple of week ago. Now I can't lowball my meat and chicken portions anymore but I'm still glad I bought it.
  • A married couple I know lost 32 and 30 lbs on this recently. They explained it to me, I don't remember all the details but, I think exercise was discouraged or something and I decided it wasn't for me.

  • I think if you click on "find members" tab you can enter your zip code and find out if there are anyone within a given mile radius
  • Running around after 7 kids should help. Watch your intake and you should do fine. :-)
  • Good luck. You'll probably be surprised how much it helps out to be able to track and tally all of your calories and exercise.
