I've had two boys (one vaginal, one c-section) and am now thinner than I was when I got pregnant the first time 9 years ago. However, my weight has definitely been redistributed. I have a belly pooch that isn't as firm as I would like, my breasts have gotten larger, and I weigh more than I did when I was this size 15 years…

Definitely want to try this!

Wow! Brag all you want...you look amazing! :)

Between my 8 year old being home for the summer, my 3 year old's changing nap schedule, and my husband's crazy traveling for work, I've been working out after I put the boys to bed, any time after 8:30. After my workout, I usually treat myself to a glass of wine and a shower, and have no problem falling asleep :)

Where I live, it's very hilly and hard for me to run. The traffic on the main road makes it unsafe for my boys to walk or ride bikes with me. My husband travels frequently for work. These are not excuses, but rather the reasons why I have put together a "home gym" so I can work out after the kids are in bed. Yep, that's…

hard boiled egg, string cheese, turkey...I also like to use iceberg lettuce instead of bread. Spread a little Laughing cow cheese and some ham or turkey, add some tomato, you've got almost a sandwich :)

This may not work for you, but when I go out, I stick to rum and diet Coke. I have pretty much given up soda in general, so it's part of the treat, and it's not as bad calorie-wise. I also alternate, for every drink I have, I drink a glass of water, too. During the week, I usually have a 5oz glass of wine after we put our…

We bought a backpack that had a strap to attach to it when we traveled on an airplane with our then 2 year old. He is innately curious and I was so worried that he would wander off. I filled it with toys for the plane, and he still loves it a year later (although I have lost the strap). Peace of mind was totally worth any…

Feel free to add me! I'm a 41 year old mom to two boys (ages 3 and 8). I work part time as a substitute teacher, and log every day, days when I'm home, I leave MFP up all day :) I've lost 29 pounds, only 11 to go! But the last ones seem to be the hardest.

A friend of mine doesn't have hand weights, she just used bottles of water :)

I was starting to have an unhealthy relationship with my scale...I was weighing 3-5 times a day, telling myself that I was only "watching" the fluctuations of the day, and the only one that counted was the first one in the morning. Then when it wasn't moving each morning, I became more and more depressed, even though I…

I just finished Day 13, so that's Day 3 of Level 2. I only skipped one day as my family was in town. One day I walked six miles with friends, and today I rode my stationary bike for a half hour afterward to make up for going to a friend's house for dinner, and tomorrow I plan to use the elliptical for a half hour afterward…

Moved from Philly to Maryland...found a place that makes decent cheesesteaks, but still looking for a good hoagie :(

http://www.biological-age.com/about.html Wow! I just did this and it said I was 25 :)

I'm here! 41 with 2 kids....11 pounds to goal!

Hi! I'm at home with my 2 boys (ages 3 & 8) and am on here as much as I can. I'm 11 pounds to goal and could use all the encouragement I can get. Feel free to add me!

I met my husband online...we've been together for almost 12 years, married for 9. But he was only 45 minutes away so I'm not sure how the distance thing would have worked.

I have two boys (ages 3 & 8) and I find it very hard to get a workout in some days. My youngest is always into everything, and is up fairly early. I just have to get it in when I can. Sometimes I can let them watch TV while I do a DVD, sometimes I do it when my younger one is napping, sometimes when my husband is with them…

I just wanted to say, "Thank you." For several reasons, I had decided to blow off my workout this afternoon. But then I stumbled upon your post and was inspired by your story. Got up off my butt and worked out. Feel tons better. Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring me to keep going!

If it's a potluck, I bring something I know I can eat... usually a salad or veggie tray (my boys love veggie trays). If the food is prepared for me, I just do my best to pick the healthiest choices and find it in the database as close as I can.

I have hypothyroidism, and my doctor endorsed Atkins for me several years ago when I was losing weight for my wedding. Fast forward 9 years, two kids, etc, and I needed to lose weight again. Lost 20 pounds just watching calories, but started slowing down. Limited carbs to 1/2 of MFPs allowance and started losing again. I…

Hi! I'm a stay-at-home mom/ substitute teacher trying to lose the weight before I go back to work full time. My youngest starts preschool this year, so I have 2 years to learn how to manage my diet and exercise before I start looking for full time work. Feel free to add me!

I've had the exact same experience. Put on a pair of shorts that barely fit last year, and now they're a little loose. Was very excited and thought I looked great. My 3 year old got a hold of my camera and took a pic of me...it was AWFUL! Then My 8 year old took a pic of me with my 3 year old in a back carrier and it was…

I'm missing my friends this morning, but on the plus side, I've decided to add in a workout :)

I have a very inexpensive Sportline wrist HRM. When I use my elliptical, the readings are the same for both the watch and the machine, so I figure it's fairly accurate :)
-
I put out raw veggies and ranch dip for my boys (3 and 8) as an "appetizer" or as a side dish with our meal. They each have their favorites, and they can enjoy as much as they want!

I think my husband hasn't quite caught up with "New Me" yet. When I was not eating as healthy, not counting my calories and watching my carbs, etc., bringing home some extra dessert was a real treat for me. He still does that, and I struggle to remind myself that he was thinking of me, and trying to do something nice for…

I almost always leave room for a glass of wine and a treat for after I put my sons to bed. That way, I don't feel like I'm depriving myself, and I can relax and enjoy it!

I just saw this and can't believe I missed you earlier! I was off track for 3 weekends in a row, you'll find your motivation again. I did it by making Fridays all about things that made me feel better...reading success stories, looking at pics to see how far I've come, planning my menus in advance instead of moment to…

I have been struggling on the weekends. This Saturday, we went to a cook-out, so I called my friend to check what was for dinner. I filled out my journal before I left, then had a cheeseburger (no bun), some fruit salad, and lots of veggies. I stayed away from the cole slaw and macaroni salad to be on the safe side, and I…
