Hi. 42 with 8 lbs to go with an open diary. Would love some more active friends.
-
I always snack at night - I make sure to leave cals for that, knowing that is just how I am. My tummy would be growling and Id be grumpy :) Good luck.

Feel free to add me. I am 5'6' and started at 164. I have been using MFP for 3 months and have reached 144 this morning. My goal is 135 and I have an open diary. It will be slow going to my goal, sometimes I lose nothing for a few weeks. But I am in no rush. Maybe by the Fall.

I collect and fix vintage sewing machines. And sew ALOT :). Love reading this thread.

This!!! Walk...lets you eat more. Highly recommend a fitbit. It shocked me how inactive I really was! Good luck.

I like 2 lite laughing cows (50 cals) squished together between two wheat thins - sweet potato flavour ( 13 for 90 cals) Mmmm

Feel free to add me. My mom is elderly 88 - and sorry to say they can be rather rude sometimes! :) love her, but its like all filters are off! I log daily and have an open diary. Best of luck on the start of your loss! You've got this! That knee thing doesn't sound good. I would watch what kind of exercise you do... I just…

My body wouldn't work on that :)

66 days ago...I hated exercise too! I started walking - the only thing I could think of sticking with long term. My leg muscles hurt until week 4. Now I can walk for an insane amount of time. Bought a fit bit flex to keep me honest. Plus I am type A so the stats help me to know exactly how much more walking I need to do…

I think it's ok to vent about work/life balance! You ladies seem like an awesome group! If anyone needs a friend, feel free to add. And to the dude who made the rude comments - just go!

I use regular betty crocker (cheap) 3.5 cup thin stack able containers. All 5 stack nicely in the fridge and fit a protein, and 2 veggies very nicely. I find making 5 of these on Sunday gives me no excuse to eat large lunch meals at work. I also bought a Ms Bento Zojirushi container from Amazon for $50 - I love it! The…

Gather some friends with open diaries. Many an inspiration comes from that. Feel free to add me!

I try to have a glass(s) of wine on the weekends. As I don't think if I was to obstain...it would be a practical or long term solution I could stick with.
-
Walking is my only form of exercise. And I shoot for 10,000 steps per day. About 4.5 miles for me. I have a fitbit and believe I am Pavlov's dog waiting for my fitbit to vibrate to let me know I've reached my goal :)

Can't say I'm a total healthy eater but I like to count calories. I modify bad foods with smaller portions because of my nuclear family obligations. I'm 42 and have an open diary. Love seeing what others choose for calories. Feel free to add me :)

None.. I will take a glass of red wine any day. :)
-
I think those steam dumplings are fairly reasonable. 3 @ 150 in my grocery store.
-
Wish it was true :) I'll have a glass if my count is low that day. It's what got me into the extra pounds in the first place.
-
My go to snack is 2 laughing cow lite cheese (50 cals) spread over a wasa sour dough crisp wafer (33 cals). It's got the crunch and the cheese! Mmmmmm.

I swear the weekday wine and cream in my coffee is what started my whole weight gain in the first place.
-
I walk 10, 000 - 11, 000 steps a day and fitbit consistently has been adjusting to about 500 calories. I think that is a bit high since I rarely break a sweat when walking. I have tried both hands too. I think I will try placing it on my ankle - that seems to be a good idea :) Either that or I just may only count half of…

I would choose something that could be sustained over the long haul. When I started 2 weeks ago, I had my calories set to a low low point. I was starving, and just couldn't live thru it. Good luck with your journey. Hope you find an approach that works and that can maintain some enjoyability!
-
I started about 2 weeks ago and have stuck with it. Feel free to add me. Eh! Canadian here too.
-
Got mine about 5 days ago. Haven't missed a 10,000. If I not close...I walk on the treadmill after dinner. I have a desk job...so unless I make a effort to walk each day, I'd never make it. Feel free to add me!!
-
42 too! Trying hard to eat well. Feel free to add me :)
-
For me food was a way to keep nausea at bay. I would eat what you want when you want - within reason. Healthy choices. Any any weight you gain, attack after baby. Not the exact advise you are looking for. But I don't think this is a time to track. IMO.
-
Saskatchewan here. Add me eh? :)

I think I just added all of you! I'm 42, log on daily, and am looking to share my diary. I also like to lurk on other diaries for food ideas or I get into an eating rut. To others who post after, feel free to add me! I have a goal....let's help each other out.
