If you were my daughter, I would tell you to live separately as well. I agree that you can't think through the situation clearly while still living with him. Also, physical altercations are super scary to me! This kind of volatile relationship is toxic and should not be tolerated by either one of you. Perhaps you two are…

Similar to everyone else, tired of buying large sizes, tired of feeling down because I know I don't look my best anymore, tired of feeling like less of a person (stupidly) because I don't feel I look good anymore. Crazy how weight can affect so much of our lives. Because I don't think I look good/attractive, I figure how…

Yes, my week 3 was a half pound gain, but was also on monthly cycle, which I understand is normal. Also normal to plateau I've heard. We will see what the end of week 4 brings, but I'm not stressing about it. Just keep on keeping on, and the results will happen. I switch up my workouts too, so that I don't get bored. Found…

I too dreaded 'working out' as I haven't ever done it on a regular basis. After a few weeks I find I almost look forward to it, and try to push a little harder. I found that there are several dvd's that are very low cost, and try a different workout every couple days so that I don't get bored. Wii Fit is also fun and not…

Well good for you, and congratulations. Good to know that I'm not too old to change habits and lose weight (I'm 44 and pretty unhealthy for several years). You look terific, and congrats on the size 8!!! Great inspiration, thanks.

Wow, congratulations! It sure is good to know that calories alone can make such a difference for those who can't workout much. Keep up the great work, and good luck with completing your goal!

Hi fellow canuck. Have been a Labatt drinker for years, just switched to Canadian 67 and I don't hate it. Hope the love of beer will be outweighed by my weight/health goals eventually!

Guily as charged, but I noticed last night I was feeling guilty so maybe I will end up drinking less beer, but I have switched to a low calorie beer (67 per bottle) so for now that will help, but I sure do enjoy having a few on Friday night. Can't change everything at once or you'll go crazy!

I understand how you feel, I would love to have some friends too! 4 pounds in 2 weeks or so for me, so way to go! Also love to laugh, so count me in!

Hi, I'm fairly new too and my goal is also to lose 30 lbs. This site has proven a great way to track everything for me, hope it does the same for you. I feel better just making the decision to lose weight and be more active, and have stuck with for 2 weeks, the longest I have ever stayed committed, as awful as that sounds.…

I found MFP searching for an app on my IPhone. New to it but love it so far.
