Yes, I can see it! Keep up the good work... Its paying off!

You look like a different person! Congratulations on your loss!

I lost weight... I lost inches! I went from a size 16/18 pants to a size 10/12 and I can wear a medium size shirt. I moved out of a house, sold or gave away almost everything I owned and moved into an RV full-time (because I want to, not have to), and live in a campground where I volunteer for the Corps of Engineers in…

That is a great accomplishment! Congratulations!

This topic definitely caught my eye because I have "pain from jiggles". I always tell my trainer that even my fat is sore after a day of running. He laughs at me, thinking I am being funny. I keep on going though and eventually I am going to be one hellacious runner without all the jiggles.

I think it will be great to have your husband do this with you. I have been here a few days over a year. I will send you a request. Great luck on your success!!!

Is it bad to bump my own post because I am feeling down tonight and need some encouragement?
-
By myself and watching TV and reading... and of course, looking at the message boards!

That is not a stupid question... I lose more pounds when I am doing cardio alone and forget the weight or strengthening exercise. However, I lose much more in size when I am doing weights/strengthening and going light on the cardio. Which would you rather do? I have not lost a pound in months and months, but I have gone…

"thanks obama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I really wondered how far into the thread I would have to read before I read that...
-
I have had changes too since I lost weight - longer, heavier, and not always at the right time.

I had great success that way. Between January and June last year I lost 38 pounds. As long as I was within my calories, I ate it. I stopped being good about logging my food and doing right for a few months and have just maintained, but now am logging and eating my 1200 calories again to lose my last 30.

You sound much like me. I started this and I only wanted to lose weight... maybe walk the treadmill a couple of days a week. Then I started being able to move better and feeling better and I thought maybe I would add some strength training. I started doing some classes. Pretty soon, I got talked into a 5K. Then I did…

I am so glad you chose today to start and not "next _______"! I wish you much luck with your weight loss and cleaning up your diet and especially getting back to the exercise consistently. That is the hardest part for me.
-
You can do this and it only takes a loss of 10% of your bodyweight to start seeing a difference in your health issues. I am a grandmother of 3 and 43 years old. I have been doing MFP for a year now and am so excited about the changes I have seen in my health and my body. You can do this and this is a great place to get…

Okay now I am not taking anything personal doubly so! LOL... I am the mother of a 23 year old son and a 27 year old daughter and I am not an "older" woman - only 43 myself! I love to lift! Not great at it, but working on it!
-
A smaller pair of jeans is always encouraging! Much better to me than any number on the scale. Congratulations!
-
Sometimes our bodies just react differently than we want them to. I have no advice to offer except that you should stop relying on the scales to make you feel good. If you are eating properly and exercising your body, then you are already winning the game!
-
Great loss! Wishing you much success in going for those last pounds. It is definitely inspiring.
-
Love all this advice! I have to admit I am guilty of not wiping down the treadmill after I use it because I didn't see the need if I wasn't dripping sweat but now I feel it is necessary and I will start tomorrow!
-
Tami, I thought we were pretty close in age. We are reversing that aging process though!
-
Thank you all >>>. Said as I leave for my extreme workout class!
-
Somebody want to help me get one started?
-
Thanks everybody!
-
Wow - that's great! Wish I could get that kind of time. Am currently excited at 38:18. Working on it though.
-
I went to the gym and did the treadmill extra long because I was watching Walking Dead on Netflix... burned a lot of calories and enjoyed it!

I very rarely eat there anymore, but McDonald's now has their calorie counts listed beside their food on the menu board. Its hard to order anything when it is staring you in the face the damage you are doing. I do Subway mostly. I always order off the 6 gram or less menu and load up with vegetables. Otherwise, I just…

I didn't run from the cameras this year and was told that I was the most photogenic in the family. Also wore a size 10 instead of a 16 or 18!
-
Thanks everybody! It has been a great year. I love the "looks younger" comments! I turned 43 in August and I feel better than I did when I was much younger!

I agree with the person above! Find some good friends to help you along the way. Log in every day and hold yourself accountable to yourself. That's the mental part - which is a big part of weight loss! Move your body every day in some way that you do not normally do. That's the physical part. Eat less, eat better. Stay…
