When I started this weight loss journey a while back I was told to read something about it at least once a month. It could be a magazine article or a book, but was strongly urged to do this bc it helps keeps you motivated. I actually do this not with just weight loss but any commitment I make for myself, I have a wandering…

I have used Leslie Sansone Walk at home, love it, you can find 15 min vid's on youtube. Also I recommend Zumba video's.

I have recently gone 1200 over!!! Crazy, I know! I did just fine, your body doesn't keep the extra calories if it doesn't need them. Your body adjusts to the smaller amount and the fact that your burning more and just gets rid of them! You'll be fine, and you'll have a great weigh in, as long as it's not a daily…

Sounds great! Bump!

I have actually been through this same thing recently! After really worrying about it for several weeks I decided to change my goals to lose .5 lb a week, which gave me over 1400 calories. I found that I did not eat much more than I did before, but I could go over 1200 and not be upset, you know, I still had a negative on…

For the big meals like Thanksgiving I heard that you should use plastic spoons, get one spoonful of each food that u want. Each new food has a new spoon, so you see how many bites u are taking. When you are done with your plate you evaluate if you are still hungry or not. I am planning to do this myself, hope it works!…

Oh, just thought of a good one driving home! Using oatmeal for crusts/ fillings instead of flour or bread crumbs!

Tuna, bakery outlets for bread, peanut butter. Can't think of much more off the top of my head, other than what some other ppl have put. Coupons is a great idea too, get them online off the manufacturer's websites, sunday ppr's, hunt for sales, and early in the morning most stores reduce prices on meat that have a "sell or…

This is something I have been questioning also. So if too much protein isn't a bad thing then why keep track of it??

I have lost more, but I also work out. I have 2 friends that started out not working out, just following the suggested calories and such, and they both significant weight wo working out. Everyone is different tho!

I have used Leslie Sansone Walk at Home, really like it, it's broken up into 2 videos for a 30 min work out.

It's silly I know, but my kids got the Smurf Dance Party game for wii and I have used it several times for my daily workout! It's super fun and really active! :)

MFP actually goes off of each persons specifics. My friend and I work out together and she burns more calories than I do, but she weighs more than I do. The more weight I lose the less calories I burn in a workout. Now, about the calories, that is set up thru your goals. If you are feeling hungry all the time, you might…

Pretzel m&m's- I call them diet m&m's! Chocolate royal marshmallow's- 17 of them for 100 calories! Also Blue Bunny's Fat free no sugar added brownie sundae ice cream, made with splenda so tastes a lot better than it used to! Dairy Queen's Dilly bar has low fat ice cream in it! Oh ya, also Fiber One brownies- 90 calories-…

Sounds like your working out quite a bit, your probably gaining muscle mass and if the scale is not going down it can be frustrating, but I bet your clothes are getting bigger?? That is also a good measure of your success!

Every time I feel like giving up bc I messed up, I read something about it... to inspire me. It really helps renew my motivation.

I am 5'5" and mother of 2, gained 65 lbs with my first! I know that my body will never look like it did before I had kids, but last year I got down to 129 and felt pretty good! I actually wore shorts, not something I have every really done! My goal is 130-135. I don't want something I have to work really hard to maintain,…

The last time I used MFP I didn't log everything, especially if I knew I went over! I agree that it is often tedious, but this time around I am way more into it, and understanding a lot more. I do log EVERYTHING bc I know that those little bites here and there really can add up!

I am definitely no expert and I have read so many things about weight loss that say not to do this, but my biggest meal everyday is dinner. And I eat a snack right before I go to bed. I try to do at least a little bit of a workout everyday, but I don't freak out if I don't. I lost 5 lbs in the first 2 weeks and can…

I am actually 5'5", and always having been a curvy girl my goal is 130-135. I am comfortable there wo having to work too hard to maintain it. When I calculate my BMI it says I should shoot for 120-125, but I really don't think that would work well for me. I am trying to be realistic and take in the fact that I am getting…

Thanks for all the awesome posts! :D Very grateful for all the positive feed back! Yay for all of you!

I really Love the Olive Garden too, but probably would consider Arby's my weakness! Just bc it's baked doesn't mean it's healthy! And what's a roast beef without curly fries??? I am so into food that it really doesn't matter where I go, it is a struggle for me. But I am learning and getting better!
