I am only 5'3" SW: 162 CW: 142 I think the big difference is due to the weight lifting...gaining muscle while losing the fat.

I'm sure there are many others on here who can give you more specific advice...but have you looked around on line. Try bodybuilding.com (both my husband and I have found some good information here). Again, hopefully you'll get more input but here's a starting point! Good luck!

Well, I started Lean Circuit 1 today...whew. I worked hard and my whole body was shaking at the end. I love it though. I'm totally hooked on lifting heavy (well, heavy for me!). How's everyone else doing?

On the sports bra tips...they also make compression style sports bras that might help. Shoes--there are a number of good ones, depends on how much u want to spend. I am using Asics, a lot of the people I Zumba with use Reebok Zigs just for a couple examples. Other advice...be consistent, allow yourself some cheats. And…

Way to go! I just started and am just doing dumbell chest presses with 15lbs per hand...too afraid to go to the gym and try, especially with a barbell!

I am in my first week of PUSH...almost finished with it, actually. I am just wondering how heavy everyone is lifting for this portion. This week I felt like most exercises I could probably go heavier next week...

There is a way to subtract the calories from your food diary... when logging food search breastfeeding and there are multiple options that come up. You can track by the oz, or whether you are breastfeeding exclusively or one time a day, etc! It puts the calories in as negative amounts...some of the entries even subtract…

I vote for looking at your definition of bikini ready. I would suggest adding strength training (if you don't do that already), keeping your diet high in lean proteins, and don't worry too much about the scale. Think more about how your body looks...more than likely your weight will drop as well and you'll be happier w/…

Stay at home mommy here, and I am on mfp off and on all day! would love more friends to encourage and share

I think the idea is to ALWAYS eat at least your BMR...And then if your exercise brings you to more than a 1000cal deficit, you need to eat the difference. Does that help?
-
What is your diet like? You are probably tracking on here, right? Are you eating back your exercise calories, sometimes that helps people break a plateau...Are you eating enough protein? Small meals vs big meals?

zumba is a high intensity dance fitness program that incorporates many different styles: latin--samba, salsa, merenge, mambo, cumbia, also reggaeton, hip-hop, and even some country. The variety makes it a little different, and it is both dancing and fitness moves like squats, lunges, knee lifts, etc. But for me it is…

I'll join the brownie brigade. It was easy for me to eat an entire batch of brownies in a day. Or the 24 pack of cookie dough in a day. If there are cookies in my house, I eat them-too many of them! Like 1-2 dozen a day (ouch!) And my favorite...I would make homemade chocolate icing, to keep in the fridge and eat and it…

My husband would like me to take this challenge!! He told me to make my goal July 1 though. so I'll join, without promising pictures in May! (I, too, am a 3x c-section mommy, so not sure the abs will make it back to bikini ready!?!)

Why don't you make yourself some mini goals...like drinking 8 glasses of water everyday for a week, Exercising a certain amount of time or calories this week, Your first 5lbs, or building up to running a mile, or lifting a certain amount of weight. For every goal you meet you can assign rewards like a new book, or new…

Hi everybody...great job! Burn Intervals is rough! I do not like burpees and I hate pushups...but I'm determined to learn to, if not love them, than at least appreciate them. Tonight is Burn circuit 3 for me...Still on my first week! I'm not following the calendar exactly because I also do Zumba a few times a week, and…

I did end up doing burn 2, was feeling good, so I thought I'd go for it! I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow! zumba toning is dancy and it does use small weights (I use 1.5, I think others use anywhere from 1-5lbs, most in the 1-3range. In the class I go to, we sort of alternate between resistance songs and cardio songs. she…

I was pretty indulgent over the holidays, and really just restarted my weight loss journey on Jan 3...I gained 5lbs in December (yuck). I think that 5 should come off pretty quick though! I am doing well this week and I love this site! Oh, and I got Gold's Gym Cardio Party too! (I also got the Dance Party one) Have done a…

Thanks for the encouragement! I am supposed to do Burn Circuit 2 today, but I went to a Zumba Toning class this morning...I haven't decided if it is going to be too much in one day or not. I may do it tomorrow, I'll see how I feel after I put the kids to bed!!

I officially started the workouts yesterday Burn circuit 1...and I can definitely feel it!
-
I sent you a friend request, I am new here and want to build up a support system too! I know I need people to hold me accountable and I'd love to help others on their journey too!

I like to make a shake/smoothie with milk, vanilla yogurt, apple, a little pb and oats...you can throw in some whey for the extra protein. It's a little high on the calories, so you've got to watch that, but it makes a good filling shake.

Nice challenges, thanks for the suggestions!

Please count me in. I really need accountability to see this through!
