I haven't had a baby but also started MFP at the beginning of January. I have been under my calorie goal every day (not too far under) and my scale says I gained .3 lbs! I don't understand what the big deal is. I would still eat a hamburger for dinner, without cheese to cut back, and I am still under my calorie goal for the day.
