I've had people tell me it's weird that I put pepper on my french fries.

I love my garlic press. But good, sharp knives are a must have for me. Also, my instant-read thermometer.

Here's a fun video to watch; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M957dACQyfU Video gimmick aside, I tend to believe the before/after photos here. I remain skeptical of if some of the people will keep the weight off or not, based on how they lost the weight and how quickly they shed it. I'm always more fascinated by the…

Cheese, carrots, and sliced turkey or chicken; all things I include normally in my lunches.

Here are three of my favorites; a side dish, a lunch, and a dinner recipe. White Bean Salad Serves 8 This makes a great side dish or super-light lunch. 2 cans white beans, rinsed 2 medium zucchini, skin on, diced 20 fresh green beans, sliced into ½ inch pieces 1.5 oz parmesan cheese, grated 1.4 cup feta cheese ½ cup lemon…

Us gluten-free folk have a group you might want to check out. In the meantime, what sort of food do you enjoy? Any certain ethnicity? I'm gluten-free and love to cook. I might be able to toss a few recipes in your direction.

As a Wisconsinite, those billboards are offensive.

I like to use goat cheese with dark meats and mushrooms. The flavors really go together nicely. Goat cheese also melts in a delicious way, which makes it fun to use in pasta dishes in place of using so much sauce (or any sauce at all for that matter).

Dear Elliptical Guy, I'm sorry I don't know your name and have thus deemed you in my mind as Elliptical Guy. I'd like to thank you for being friendly and accepting of my attempt to get in shape. Going to a gym can be very intimidating, but seeing you there always makes me feel better. I'd just like to thank you for the…

I never notice a man's butt unless he's in jeans. And then it's more about the fit of the pants than anything else.

This thread confirms that I have a very different opinion than most on what makes a man hot.

I have several. An entire drawer full of "someday" clothes. Well, "maybe again someday" clothes. It's my favorite stuff from when I was much smaller than I am now. What's your favorite vacation spot?

How I feel AFTER I work out. The audio book I only let myself listen to while working out. (If I was reading a paper copy of the book I'm currently listening to I'd never put it down!) Looking at my calorie intake. Looking at my goals. Guilting myself into it after work because my workout bag is hanging up with my coat and…

I pay attention to the numbers, weight and measurements, but I'm a visual person. When I notice a roll of fat missing or that I can suddenly see my jawline again, I get giddy with excitement. Or when I notice a different fit in my clothes...

My face/neck, but I lost several inches off my waistline in the first few weeks as well.

An alarm clock going off, and a rush of guilt as I realized I'd slept in until 11.

I lost about 30lbs this past year. An older man came into my workplace who had been there when I first started the job last March. He looked me up and down, gave me a big smile, and asked when my kid had been born. I was never pregnant. When I told my mother about my weight loss success last year her response was "Is that…

1. My pants almost fell off while I climbed the stairs because they're getting loose. 2. I made progress on a monumentally large personal project. 3. Chocolate.

1. Cleaned out my closet, literally. Found an old chef's coat that miraculously fits again! 2. Spent time with an AMAZING group of friends I rarely get to see. 3. Discovered that I am at the lightest weight I've been since the summer of 2009. Awesome feeling.

1. I went shopping and got $270 worth of clothes for $50 thanks to some awesome sales. 2. I got a whole stack of new books. 3. I made plans to reconnect with an old friend this weekend.

I do a mixture of the two, plus some outdoors stuff. I do yoga/pilates and some kick boxing at home, but more often than not I get distracted when I'm at home and end up not working out, or my workouts feel incomplete. When the weather is nice I like to get outside, especially to go hiking... but I'm not living in an area…

I just hit the 10lb mark on weight loss today and MFP asked if I wanted to recalculate my numbers. Doing it more often than every 10lbs might be a little over finicky.

I don't log the tea I drink, or the truvia I put in some of it. Otherwise I try to log everything.

I try to workout 5-6 times per week. At least one of those days is for yoga/pilates to help keep me feeling limber. Otherwise I'm doing cardio and weights, or just cardio at the gym. Never anything less than 30 minutes.

Thursdays are my weigh in day. I tend to wait about half an hour after I wake up, to shake the groggy feeling that leaves me feeling 10lbs heavier, and then weight myself naked. I take my measurements every other week, right after weighing in.

In my late teens I met a guy in school who I thought was neat. He had a different outlook on life than most people in good ol' Wisconsin, and I'm attracted to strong personalities for friends. So he and I became fast friends. He taught me a lot, especially about vegan eating (which is not for me, but something I can…
