Alot of people say it isn't true. One thing I have found that really helps especially at night for me because I have always been a night snacker is water. I will drink a fairly large glass of water. It kind of tricks my body into thinking I did eat something.

my wife is rehabbing from from a complete ACL reconsturction and meniscus removal. What we have found is that walking on the treadmill helps and the seated bikes really help. Not the spin style bikes but the bike where you seated with your butt and back supported. It works really well for her.

Kit Kats, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Jack and Coke. I crave those 3 things like I am a pregnant woman craving pickles. They are tough to give up or at least minimize.

It depends on my mood. I usually go with my wife and we strength train/lift together. When it comes to cardio though we do our own thing at our own pace. I have to admit though it motivates me to make sure I do cardio longer than she does. A buddy can be extremely motivational.
