  • I am also from a family where everyone 18+ (besides myself now & my husband) are overweight or obese. Whenever we visit I'm told that I need to "Eat more! Take some home!" And I"m constanty being asked, "Have you eaten anything today? Are you okay?" ...and yes, I've even been accused of not feeding my husband properly!!!…

  • I'm 5'9" and started at about 205. In the beginning I had my calories set to 1200 a day and was exercising like CRAZY burning between 500-1000 calories at least 5x a week. I hardly lost anything...it wasn't until I started to eat a bit more (around 1500 calories per day) that I started to consistently lose weight!!! You…

  • This year I have decided to give up two things... 1. THE SCALE: so that I start focusing on the healthy body that God gave me and stop stressing over flucuating up and down 2-3 lbs. I want to focus on toning and measurements and not get distracted by the stupid scale... 2. GOING OUT TO EAT: This will help me to spend more…

  • I definitely agree with this. For my height, I already have a bmi of about 22 but I want to go lower, so I guess I have to accept that it may take me several more months to lose these pesky 8lbs!
  • Same here!!!! It is ridiculously hard!!! I actually decided to maintain my weightloss of 50lbs for about 6 months for awhile because I thought my body needed a break from losing. Now I have been working on the last 10 lbs since mid Decemeber (about 2 months now)...and as you can see from my ticker, I still have 8 to go!!!
  • I definitely know how you feel. I go in spurts where I just don't seem to have the motivation and energy to eat right, but I just push forward. I've come to terms with the fact that eating poorly for a few days isn't going to de-rail me. It's when it starts to be bad choices for days and days and days and weeks... Anyways,…
  • oh oh oh! i'm 5'9" as well! If either of you'd like another friend, that would be awesome. I have great friends, but most of them are shorties  My goal is 145.

  • You look terrific....Congratulations on your hard-earned body!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Out of curiosity, how tall are you?
  • I ALMOST weighed as much as my husband (within 5 lbs) and that's what gave me the kick in the butt that I needed to start losing weight. As of this morning I weigh exactly 31lbs less than him  after I have lost 51 lbs & he has lost about 25 lbs!
  • Eat the calories you burn from exercise if you're hungry...if you're not, then I say don't! ...I say, some weeks you won't lose, and that's okay! Every time that you work out or choose an apple over junk, you are changing your life. If you think of losing weight as a lifestyle change it will be so much easier than thinking…
  • No gimmicks for me, either! I have lost 50lbs and maintained that for over 8months! Now i'm hoping to lose another 10 and be in the best shape of my life. I did all of it by counting calories on MFP and working out at the gym!!!
  • You look excellent! Congrats on your awesome new body...Your hard work has definitely paid off! I've lost 50lbs so far & am struggling through the last 10lbs right now! You've given me hope that it can be accomplished :flowerforyou:
  • If it's making you uncomfortabl and unhappy, I say STOP with the flush! Just drink tons of water and eat healthy and incorporate exercise into your daily routine! It's not the fast way to lose weight, but it is the reliable way  You can do it, girl!!!
