I would not eat just to eat. I think she is correct by adding to your dinner or give yourself a small treat for dessert. Even a glass of wine (if you drink) will add anywhere from 100-200 calories and red wine is good for you. :)

If I find myself getting hungry before dinner or right before bed a cup of hot tea usually tricks my tummy and my mind into thinking I am not hungry. It has been a pound saver for me. :)
