@ Myers... awesome arms

Ice it for now... maybe wrap it tight before you go running next time?
-
Well, you have more than enough time to do it on your own. I lost 24lbs in 3 months. All I did was calorie control and exercise. The jitters and mood swings really aren't worth it. P.S... CONGRATS!!! :flowerforyou:
-
I just do something nice for myself... a manicure or pedicure... my most recent one was throwing all my old workout socks away and getting new ones... things like that :)
-
Ditto... my inner Jerry Springer addict was hoping for some juicy story :(

Training for the army fitness test... of course looking good in my jeans wouldn't hurt!
-
Vitamin C huh... well that couldn't hurt... at least my immune system will be bolstered. Did you just quit cold turkey?
-
Yeah, I tried the nicorette gum and lozenges and it just makes me feel ill... I will try just regular gum.
-
No takers?

Awesome!! If you plan on lifting, throw the scale away and buy a measuring tape!! The rewards are astronomical! Just remember to stay well hydrated.. your muscles will retain water while they are repairing themselves.
-
OOOHH!! I love when that happens!! I can't wait until a size 7 fits!

While its true you would not have gained that much muscle in one week, there are a few different factors going on. When you train, you force your muscles to tear, this way, they repair themselves stronger and bigger than they were, its your bodies way of adapting to your new more physically strenuous lifestyle. I dont know, I was working mine out using the Navy method (measuring waist, neck and butt versus your weight and sex) and I got 26%, when I went to enlist in the Army, he told me I was 34%. I know this isnt helpful, but it can be really tricky!

Floater kicks, banana rolls (lay on the floor on your tummy, arms and legs off the ground and then roll onto your back with just your core touching the ground, keep feet and hands off ground), planks are always good. If you can,... try some push ups.. they are mainly arms and shoulders, but you have to keep your core…

-
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE their thousand island dressing... its awesome with shrimp :) I want to try their syrup, but my brain refuses to believe that there is such a thing as zero calorie syrup...
-
Giraffe.... it was yummy!

Definately! Your hips are much smaller and it looks like your tummy is much flatter :) Good Job! Keep it going!

It would have to be a blank check for a gajillion dollars... other than that, there isnt anything in the world I love enough to touch poop. Well, maybe my green card, it was hard enough to get the first one!
-
You should have been proud from day 1.... the day you decided to change the way things are!
-
Sure you can lose weight with diet alone, and you might even lose it faster - in the beginning. However, once you reach your goal, you still wont be happy with yourself. If you want that healthy, toned and defined body, it requires a good blend of cardio and strength training. Healthy, well built muscles burn more calories…
