  • I'm 63. I lost 30 pounds 5 years ago and still log food. I've gained a few pounds back. Now I would like to loose 30 - 35 pounds. I now have arthritis in both knees & I know this would really help. It's always good to hear other's stories and what works for them.
  • 5'8'' and want to loose 30 pounds, that is me too. I've been on MFP for a while and have lost 30 pounds. I've stayed the same weight for over a year. I feel that is an accomplishment because in the past I have always gained weight loss back ++. Now I want to loose 30 more, but am having trouble transitioning and keeping in…
  • 5'8" I'm guessing 15 pounds for me. I assume this differs person to person according to where you carry your extra fat. I have a belly which seems determined to stay longer. My legs and breasts are smaller.
  • I find that going for a brisk walk is helpful. It doesn't make the pain or problem go away, but I can put a new spin on a solution. Maybe it is just getting out of the house and doing something. Often I make an effort to say hello to a complete stranger and smile. I agree, it is very tempting to raid the refrigerator.…
  • We don't have many restaurants in our town. Tonight, we have decided to go out too. Probably will be Applebee's, they have an under 600 cal menu. I've tried it once, small portions and not too bad.
  • You may be swimming and hiking more. Maybe logging exercise will balance the increased calories. Also, avoid sauces and potential hidden calories.

  • I love the creamed spinach and lamb dishes. Saagwala, saga paneer. I think "saag" is spinach.not sure on calories. I guess. Many websites have menus, so you can get an idea before you go.
  • 57 and Finally menopause, 3 mos in. I am moodier and feel bloated almost daily. I didn't expect that. I have gained 4 pounds. Most likely because I have started some unhealthy snacking. I have started exercising more. I didn't realize I would crave sweets so much. I'm trying to figure out some healthy changes, so I don't…
  • I have a problem with bingeing too. I also feel if I eat sugar, I want more. The holidays are going to be hard!
  • I underestimate the time too, as the calories burned seems unrealistically high. Sometimes I will eat the calories if I feel I really worked out. I use slow walking, leisurely swimming, light housework..... still they seem high.
  • we just discovered the 100 cal wraps - those are delicious

  • We buy the strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, fresh peas, big bags of spinach, plain cheerios, premier high protein shakes, some cheeses, Ice sodas, frozen fish and chicken - these are our staples from Costco. Love Costco.

  • We used the cal helper on the dominos website - very helpful; ours was 210 cals/slice for 1/8 of a large thin black olive and roasted pepper pizza. I didn't go over that day either.
  • I work as a nurse, I found myself not taking the time to eat at work and stuffing myself with lots of calories when I got home. This had caused a weight gain. I have really worked on finding the time to eat at work. I still have days where I don't get a chance to eat at work.
