who cares if it's good or bad for weight loss, it's essential for survival! lol

wow. if this was the other way around. A man posting that his wife is gaining weight and struggling with self esteem and he's turned off by her and doesn't find her attractive, he'd get blasted! (well I hope he would!)

You look amazing!! ( I love the skin colour change too ;) ) Your before picture is very similar to my before and we are about the same height. I hope I can achieve what you have!

I don't really know if there's any point to replying since the point of the thread seems more to scoff at people who cut out sugar, but I'll put my 2 cents worth in. I have tried everything to lose weight, WW, jenny craig, and MFP, I lost weight on all but when the motivation wore off I started to eat again. I I know I'm…

The flip side is that some people who are losing weight can be really boring lol (not to other people who are losing weight but to the rest of the general population) If all you want to talk about is weight loss, nutrition and exercise, its easy to get sick of that. Also if you are choosing exercise over spending time with…

Wow!!!! Well done!! You're very inspiring. I'll look for the article when it comes out. You look really familiar too for some reason. (I'm in Auckland, NZ)

I've found people start to notice when I've lost around 10% of my body weight. Also I know with friends of mine who have lost a lot of weight, I don't notice when I'm seeing them often, then suddenly I'll think "didn't they used to be a lot bigger?"

I went fructose free (as much as possible) mainly as an experiment to see if it would suit me and I have found it really interesting how I have majorly upped my fat consumption (have butter on everything, frying my meat, eating way more meat) and the weight is steadily coming off. Definitely some of it is not having the…

I guess I was thinking of starchy carbs.

I eat no to low carbs at dinner. But I eat meat lol. So dinner is often some form of fish/meat with lots of cooked and fresh veges. Its not the only thing I'm doing though.

For some people they do need to choose between bfing their baby and seriously losing weight. Your milk supply will be affected if you cut down the calories. Would you be happier with a slower weight loss? Even just a pound a week? Have you taken into account breastfeeding into your daily calorie allowance? because you are…

I remember when 60kg (132 pounds) was my 'omg I have to lose weight' weight. Now I'd give anything to be 60kg again. heck even 70kg!

I'm eating as little fructose as possible and I only just came under the sugar recommendations (my daily goal is 29g and most of that was sugar from dairy - milk, cheese) so if you aren't watching your sugar intake I'd guess it would be impossible to go under. I vote for ignore it or turn it off so you can't see it.

bump for later

wow really? pre-kids I was 130 pounds and was always a NZ size 12. Only time I got to size 10 was when i was around 50kg (110 pounds) I didn't even know we had a size 6 here, the smallest I've ever seen is a size 8.

I started on WW and joined here because many of my friends are members and it felt like I was doing it alone on WW and there's a nice community feel here. Anyway, for a while I was tracking both and then a couple of weeks ago I decided to cancel my WW membership and just carry on with MFP (the food database is so much…
