I used to be someone who was adamant that birth control doesn't stop you from losing weight. I have lost 100 pounds while on birth control. However, now that I have lost weight and my hormone levels are changing, I plateau at the same weight on the 1st week and 3rd week of my birth control. This has been happening for the…

A dietician pointed me to here also! I've lost over 100 pounds (96 since joining) and am still losing! Anyone can feel free to add me!

It looks like you are eating some good, high protein foods. Your protein setting is pretty standard for your goals, but everyone is different. If you want to get really personalized goals, talk a nutritionist or other healthcare professional.

I usually plateau during my period and then lose around 3 pounds the two days after I'm done.

I just had my surgery (Lap RenY) February 19, 2015. I have lost about 35 pounds so far. I have found that my biggest challenge at first was getting enough calories in to kickstart my metabolism. I had trouble losing weight because I wasn't getting enough calories. I am using MFP to track those calories, my protein and…

I am the same way right now. When possible, I ride my bike if I have errands to run. I live in a very small town, where the longest I would have to ride my bike for an errand is less than a mile. If you live in a bigger town where this isn't feasible, just get out of the house and walk or run. Just find some active hobby…

When I'm sitting on the couch or on the computer doing nothing, I think about why I'm not working out instead and I can never think of a good enough reason. Plus I just think about how good I feel post-workout. It works for me.

Honestly, YouTube is the best place to go to. It has tons of amazing work out videos and you don't have to spend any money to access them. And when you get bored of one workout, you can switch it up without having to spend more money. I use it all the time.

This is so common, especially when people are first starting out. I used to do it a lot until I got the hang of portions. Just remember to log it in MFP. It doesn't matter if you went 500 calories over your daily goal. You have to own up to your mistakes in your food log. If you don't, you will become more prone to doing…

Anyone is welcome to add me as well. 360 is my heaviest weight, joined MFP at 350, down to 293 almost a year later. Still have a lot to go to get to my goal weight of 140, but I'm making huge amounts of progress every single day.

I had a gastric bypass one month ago today. It is the best decision I have ever made. I was addicted to food and I needed a real intervention. Now I can't be addicted to food. This made me totally change my lifestyle. So far the only complication I've had is not being able to eat enough calories to kickstart my metabolism…

I love this! I've lost almost 240 sticks!

omg you look amazing!

6 months in, 60 pounds lost! Add me!

I definitely gain, but it's not from water weight. I crave chocolate so much when I'm on my period that I eventually break down and eat like two candy bars. Totally messes up my calories and makes me feel awful.
-
Amazing job! You look absolutely gorgeous!

It's usually chocolate for me, but lately I've been craving soft pretzels and nacho cheese. I love BWW's pretzels and cheese. But, yeah, mostly chocolate. Now I want chocolate.

I started at 360 and I'm now down to 308. My first goal was to lose 60 pounds in 6 months and I'm 8 pounds and 15 days away. After that, my goal is to get down to 130. I can't remember the last time I weighed that! (Probably grade school?!) Feel free to add me!

I am obsessed with all things Marvel, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Supernatural, The Sims and Charlotte Bronte! I just got hooked on Sherlock also. Please add me!

That's awesome! I have a ton of weight to lose and lately I've found myself on the scale at least twice a day, I have been getting discouraged like crazy and even though I've lowered my calories and starting working out more, I feel like I haven't been losing as fast as I was before. Thank you so much for your story! I'm…

I would love to join! My birthday is December 10th and would love to lose around 30 pounds by then! So far I've lost just over 40. Feel free to add me!

I started getting healthy two weeks after my mom died. She had diabetes and it destroyed her. She had so many complications and eventually it got her. Even though she was sick for so long, her death was totally unexpected. I now take care of my 13 year old brother. I'm getting healthy for myself but also for my brother. I…

I'm pre-diabetic as well. My mom was diabetic also. Our doctors told us the same thing. Stick to 3-4 servings of carbs a meal. One serving equals 15 grams of carbs (so, stick to 45-60 carbs a meal). The amount of sugar in something plays no role in your blood sugar. The only relationship is that more sugar in something…
