That guy is a grade-A tool. Sorry you tried to do the right thing and got burned. There's always that one *kitten* who ruins it for everyone.

As others have said, it's probably water retention from your yoga session. Here's a helpful article that talks about scale fluctuations to give you a better idea of why your body might weigh more or less (by a significant amount) day to day:…

That I play MMORPG games and have a very dark sense of humor. I normally look like a friggin' J-crew catalogue (except not freakishly thin).

Hi Terry! Welcome. There are lots of great resources to help you on your way. Check out the stickies (most helpful posts) at the top of the forum boards. Great, to-the-point info to help you cut through the BS and avoid many of the pitfalls people make when they first start out. Helped me a lot when I first logged on to…

Congrats on your accomplishments and new outlook. Seems like you have some great goals! There are plenty of great, supportive people on here to help out if/when you need it. Good luck!

This. My mom is really happy doing keto. She has a ton of great recipes and is able to stick with it (for almost a year now). She feels great. I was miserable and gained weight because I, like so many before me, wasn't counting calories in addition to watching my carbs. I ate all the cheeses... all of them. I was still…

You want to lose weight? Eat any food (ANY food) as long as you burn more calories than you eat. You want to be healthy? Talk to your doctor about the types of foods you should consume (I'm guessing he/she will suggest a lot of fruits and veg, lean protein, nuts, yada yada yada). You want to lose weight AND be healthy? Do…

I would try it for sure! Krab (fake crab)

Weight loss and nutrition are not one and the same. Depending on your NUTRITION goals, yes, apples may be better than bacon, but, if you're talking about WEIGHT LOSS only, it does not matter what foods you eat as long as the calories you consume are fewer than the calories you burn.

No food is “good” or “bad” for weight loss as long as you’re in a calorie deficit. Weight loss is all about calories – Eat fewer than you burn, in whatever form suits you, and you’ll lose weight.

The new guy sharing an office with me chews tobacco and spits it into an empty soda can all day. He leaves the can on his desk. I hear him spit into it like every 1-2 mins.

No food is “good” or “bad” for weight loss as long as you’re in a calorie deficit. You could lose weight eating only buttered donuts as long as you burn more calories than you consume. Unfortunately, because buttered donuts are very calorie-dense (a lot of calories for a small amount of food), you’d be pretty hungry often.…

Just log everything, stick to your calorie goals based on MFP, and do the best you can. You got this. It won't happen overnight, but it'll be worth it. Good luck!

Read this: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10603949/big-overfeed-ruins-everything-nope/p1 One day isn't going to make a difference. You might retain some water weight if the takeaway was super salty but, honestly, one day doesn't matter. Seriously.

Perfect :D

Welcome. Keep it up!

Welcome! Here's a not-so-brief list to get you started, though it's not keto-specific: * Read the stickies (most helpful posts) at the top of the forums (really helped me hone in on what I was supposed to be doing, and realize how hard I was initially making it for myself):…

We know nothing about OP's diet whatsoever. Giving the advice to eat less is no bueno unless it's clear they're consuming more than they're burning! Without that information, eating less is terrible advice, frankly.

Seems like a lot. My burn for 10k steps usually doesn't get higher than 600 cals. I guess it depends on how much you weigh?
