P90 is a very doable program - you can do it! :)

I'm on Week 7 and I absolutely love it! It's my first BB program so far - plan on moving on to Chalean Extreme next! :-)

It might be worth mentioning that my situation is that I used to weigh 298 lbs and lost 130 lbs following WW with minimal exercise (I had a car accident and suffered significant injuries that left me immobile at the time), time passed, had a baby, gained some back and am on my way back down, but this time on a mission to…

Yup, you're completely right! Thanks for the reassurance! I don't think I would change anything anyway - I already know I'm doing everything right in my control and I"m just going to keep going and kicking some *kitten*

Thank you!! I don't actually weigh often for this reason, but wanted to do a check in. Congrats on your progress! Love to hear that!

Yes you and I are curious about the same thing! It's the skepticism of gaining muscle & losing fat at the same time and what causes it to happen, if it happens, while maintaining a calorie deficit! I've heard of "calorie partitioning" but am no expert and hoped I'd get some feedback from someone who was knowledgeable.…

Thanks for your input! That helps! I agree with the scale not needing to "matter" but in all honesty, I think that really only comes into play if you're within a decent reach of a healthy weight range. I'm 191 lbs, but if I were 165 lbs, I'd adopt the "forget the scale" mentality completely. I just want to understand that…

Sorry, I should clarify, I'm at week 7! I was thinking it's 3 mths, but regardless, I'm on week 7 now.

The confusion then, is why the scale isn't dropping, if I'm losing fat? I certainly don't' feel like I am retaining 6-7 lbs worth of water either.

Me too! Halifax

I also have PCOS. I was diagnosed after not having a menstrual cycle for 8 straight months, had elevated testosterone and then an internal ultrasound confirmed cysts. I struggle with adult acne as well. I'm not on anything for it. We were fortunate to get pregnancy unexpectedly and our son is now 9 mths old and I just had…

Great information! So to further clarify this with MFP, when MFP increased your daily goal when you exercise, is that to meet this requirement to consume a net of 1200 (if your cals were set at 1200)?

As your weight goes down it will DEFINITELY make a difference. I had knee surgery (ACL repair) when I was around 270 lbs and when I got below 200, it was a COMPLETELY different experience. No knee pain at ALL. More weight does equal more wear and tear on your joints, but as your weight comes off and your leg muscles…

The elasticity of your skin is influenced by many factors that you generally have little control over. It will help if you are losing at slow pace to give your skin some time to adapt to the changes, but generally it will depend on how quickly you gained the weight, how long it has been that way, how old you are and your…

Hey thanks! I was using the sparkpeople one, but was hoping that this site would have one that I just wasn't seeing so that it would save a step. Thanks for that other link and congrats on your weight loss so far! 5 lbs to go! Wow!!

Hey everyone, I'm just getting used to this site (which btw I find incredibly easier to use than most!), but I can't seem to find a tool that will allow me to enter in ingredients from a recipe to calculate the calories per serving? Am I missing that somewhere? Thanks folks! :flowerforyou:

Thanks you guys, I was going to ask the same question! I NEED to get me a HRM!
-
Thanks guys! I literally just stumbled on this site and signed up!

 Here I am all chompin at the bit to try out this site! I'm 130 lbs down and 15 more to go! I'm here to "get er done!"
