I just don't see how, considering calories are made up of carbs, protein, and fat.

5 ish. 6 dressed up with hair and makeup done perfectly. Sometimes I feel like it's more in the moment, but then I'll see myself in the mirror or in pictures and it's just like... no.

Plain cottage cheese. Cheese and meat in general, even though I force myself to eat it... Milk and other dairy foods. Mayo. Fast food.

In the not-so-common event of me drinking, I'll drink a few light beers or take some shots of vodka chased with sugarfree redbull (I'm obviously a lightweight). I always leave room in my calorie budget if I know I'll be drinking later. If I go over my budget I always work off the extra the next day, which also helps with…

9, your eyes are gorgeous, skin is flawless, and your eyebrows are perfectly shaped. Beautiful smile

Awesome. Makes me feel totally inferior.

I'm SO happy that I got a kitchen scale for Christmas. I've used it daily since then, and it's extremely helpful! Guesstimating just doesn't cut it. Heart rate monitor is next on my to-buy list, because I'm still using this site's guesstimates for calories burned in exercise.

Thank you! Same to you :)

My main goal for the next few months is to lose fat, and for the rest of the year I'll be gaining muscle. So basically, I want to lose 10 pounds (of pure fat only, I'm trying very hard to maintain my muscle) and then gain those 10 pounds back in muscle. But those numbers are just rough estimates. I'd rather go by how my…

Thanks, everyone. I'll make sure to eat all 1450 of my calories tomorrow and burn off no more than 250 so I don't repeat this extreme cycle.
-
I'm at 1200 net because I'm short, young, already at a healthy weight and only have 10 left to go. Basically, I don't need many calories to maintain my weight, so to lose it I have to go pretty low.
-
I need around 1700 calories per day to maintain my weight. So to lose weight, no, 1200 net is fine.

I said in the post that I don't want to eat any more today. Why eat when I'm not hungry, and when it's 8 pm? If I eat after 7, I don't sleep well and feel nauseous in the morning.
-
Good lord lady! You look like a completely different person. VERY impressive. Congrats and great job!

Cats are basically one of my favorite things in the world. Kitties specifically. And ninja... I'm a juggalette. I wanted it to be ninjakitty, but that was already taken :(

WTF? I take one hit of a blunt, and I'm suddenly a drug addict? To a "drug" (if you want to call it that, even though it's a plant) that isn't even addictive? Yeah, someone needs help, but it's not me.

There's something very wrong with you if you're calling binge eating normal.
-
Did you all even read the title of this thread? "What do you do after a binge/overeating?" I didn't start this thread so people could ***** at me about how I compensate. I started it so other people could share what they do. Just so all of you know, I wasn't asking for advice. I'm going to do what I'm going to do…

I would do a fast, that would be so much easier, but I need to work out to maintain my muscle. That's why most or all of the 500 calories I'll be eating will be lean protein, mainly before and after my workout.

I used to just move on, but my perfectionist nature won't let me do that without feeling like total *kitten* about myself. If I don't do something difficult and unpleasant to make up for it, to teach me not to do it again, I probably will do it again (I used to have binge eating disorder / compulsive overeating). That…

There is no such thing as "tone". You either gain muscle, or you maintain/strengthen what muscle you have. Heavy weights are the only way to go. And by heavy, I don't mean as much as you can possibly lift at one time. I mean heavy enough that almost can't complete the last rep in a set of 8-12 reps. Generally, you should…

The numbers my gym's machines give me and the numbers MFP gives me when I add my exercise by minutes aren't that different. The machine's numbers are always higher, but not by much, so I always stick to what MFP says. However I know this site's calculators aren't totally accurate and a heart rate monitor is the most…

Part of my calorie deficit to lose 1 pound per week comes from subtracting 250 from my maintenance calories, to equal 1450. The other 250 of the deficit is what I burn with exercise. So I eat 1450 calories a day, but my net intake is 1200 calories. Since I'm so short and already at a weight in the "healthy" range, I don't…

Grandmother: "This apple pie is healthy! There's fruit in it, and I used your raw sugar instead of white sugar." Oh yeah, because every nutritionist recommends 3 servings of apple pie daily.

Your body has limitations- push yourself to improve but don't push so hard that it hurts. Smile every time you do a lunge. Like a genuine smile. It will make you associate lunges with the little mood boost that comes from smiling. Or imagine your butt becoming more and more like Kim Kardashian's with each and every lunge.

The second one appeals to me more right now, mostly because I'm already having a hard time eating enough and I don't want more fat on me than I already have. That's the whole point...
-
Look. The point is this: muscle can't grow out of nothing. Without a couple hundred extra calories, you can not build new muscle. You can strengthen what you have, but you can't build new muscle with a calorie deficit, plain and simple. I've already said that I know it is possible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same…

I'm not dumb- I know the way to maintain muscle mass while losing fat is to continue weight training and make sure to eat enough protein and fat, while cutting carbs (within a reasonable range). I have that covered.

Hottiee! LOVE your dreads too by the way. Your body is perfect, congrats!

You look like a completely different person! AMAZING.
