I broil mine. How do they come out baked? Do they still get that crust and browning on the outside like they do from broiling? I have a small grill and it would take hours for me to do them all on it.... but I'll bet that is good.

Does anyone else have any other recipes for making turkey burgers that they want to share?

The salsa recipe in here was great on salmon BTW. Not a fish taco, but I made salmon with taco seasoning and topped it with fresh salsa and was totally delish. Normally I hate cilantro, but it was good in salsa for fish.

Do you make your own or buy green salsa?

New recipe.... Coat well with taco seasoning. Spray frying pan and fry salmon and then top with fresh salsa. It was delicious. In the meantime, I'm still hoping to an answer to my questions to the poster of the salmon patties recipe.

A NEW to me veggie that I tried earlier this year is Turnips. They are YUM!!! I made them with a mix of carrots and parsnips added in. Carrots, Parsnips and Turnips Peel turnips. Cut off the ends. Cube it. Put it in boiling water with NoSalt. Peel or don't the carrots/parsnips depending on your personal preference. I cut…

I do this, but... I also top with a light spread of fresh minced garlic and I substitute NoSalt for the sea salt.

If you try them, let me know what you think.

I finally figured out how to make the one on my Polar HRM work.... and have decided it is useless. *sigh* It will just autorun in the background whenever you're tracking your HRM and it is so hard to hear, I didn't even realize I got it working. LOL A teeny tiny meeeeep.

I'm 46 and... well, the ticker speaks for itself. <g> | | | | | V

I don't have the FT40, but I have the Polar RSS100. I have worn it swimming many times, including just last night. It works fine. Hope that helps.

Sounds good. I make something similar, but I use Mrs. Dash's Southwestern Chipotle salt-free seasoning.

What phone app do you have that does automatic repeating programmable intervals with a beep to let you know when that set is over? (e.g. for intervals of 30 seconds) ETA: Great idea. Never thought of an app. Just did search & found on called TimerPro.

I do other routines mixed in with machines and dumbbells, but right now, I do two workouts (A and B) from the Stronglifts Program alternating with days off in between, but unlike your schedule, I just let it flow through and alternate weeks: Monday-Off Tuesday -A Wednesday-Off Thursday-B Friday-Off Saturday-A Sunday-Off…

Weird, links work on a computer, just not on a smartphone... even though my android will play youtube. Go figure. P.S. They look awesome. I've added them to my favorite workout video links on Youtube so I should be able to get to them now from my smartphone. Thanks again DavPul

By all means, do or don't do what works for you. But, I have tried that theory out on myself. Bananas + hi-pro diet = still sore... Had to have the magnesium & MSM mix added in.
-
For some reason, those came up as invalid links on my smartphone. But, I did Google it, and that is what I'm looking for. Thanks.

Nobody out there with exercises to contribute?

Well, it sounds like that lil' voice on my shoulder was right. If the guy wonders why I didn't enthusiastically sign up for more of these valuable personal training sessions ... It's because my B.S. meter was on the red zone. Follow thy gut.

I agree and disagree. <g> Or partially yes and partially no. Microtears or microtrauma DOMS will benefit from the protein and the MSM. However, all DOMS will benefit from the immune boosted accelerated healing of the magnesium and recovery properties of the potassium, the anti-inflammatory (reducing inflammation of all…

LOL He claimed the hierarchy was that your body first used food calories, then used muscle and water, and only lastly would burn stored fat when you work out. But, IF you had supposedly just pumped up those muscles doing cardio-resistance exercises (not cardio, but strength training with an aerobic HR), then the muscles…

There may be some who shoot me down. Okay. But, I'm just trying to help with what I happen to have been told and know to work for me. Can't advise on the frequency, other than what Sidesteel said, if you're so sore that it would make it unsafe and you'd have to sacrifice form, then wait an extra day. If you're just mildy…

I do the strong lifts program I'm still in the early stages. I have not tried the starting strength program. I cannot compare them. Strong lifts is nice if you want to start right now, have videos to watch online for free to show you how to do the moves, a free electronic newsletter, a facebook forum where you can ask…

I'm just going to say, I think it has some serious glitches and I'll stick with what I've got, but thanks for sharing. I put in my stats (and I am decidedly overweight). It calculated I have an underweight BMI of 6.7 I am actually still 9 points away from making it down into "just overweight". It gave me a plan to lose my…

No bread, bread crumbs or oats? Pan fry dry? With spray? With oil?

Sodium?

Sounds delish!!!

P.S. There are some new APPS out there that will connect with MFP, like Digifit and endomondo... and IF you get an HRM with bluetooth capability... it will log your workouts directly into MFP and store your data that way. I don't have that feature... but if I were buying one now... I'd see how much extra it cost to have it…

Oh yeah... and mine tells you how long you spent in your zone, above your zone, below your zone... you can do laps (which I do to divide segments of my workout) and it tells you what your HR was avg and max for each "lap". LOVE mine. And, yes, it is still available....…
