kshama2001 I'm sorry. I never saw this reply and I don't know if I can still find the articles with the studies. But I can try. Not even sure if you're still on here. I was forced to recheck the communities again since they took away our news feed and I miss my fitness pals. Don't think this community thing works very well…

Get root veggies (turnip, rutabaga, carrot, beet, sweet potato), peel, cube, toss in a small amount of olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, spread on lined/nonstick sprayed cookie sheet and roast in oven until soft and yummy. Approx. 350 or 400 Farenheit for about 30 to 40 minutes give or take.

I think if you have a new question not covered by existing posts, someone will still answer. So, it's active in that way. Do you mean daily idle chit chat or do you mean quality responses when you need it? What does active mean for you?

I'm not keto so I don't know if you can have avocado. If yes, I have a few different recipes to share. Let me know.

Sounds good. Sending friend requests to y'all

Just got a charge HR. Still trying to get it all set up. Can't seem to figure out how to get it to give me call/txt notifications on Samsung Galaxy S5 though phone is compatible. Anyone know how to tweak that? Also, I welcome active friends. This doesn't mean you run miles and are super active physically. I mean I like…

That's how I learned it... ordering pants online. LOL

That looks yummy. I recently made really tender chicken in it. I'd love a good barbecue sauce recipe for making chicken the pressure cooker. Anyone have one?

I do have long legs and am short-waisted. Maybe that's part of the problem? Hmmmm... off to go read all the links you posted.

ROFLMAO.... DavPul.... folding up like a cheap lawn chair.... hahahahahaahhaa What an image!!! Um.... hard to describe. A fellow lifter who saw me at the gym one day stopped to mention that I looked like I was doing "Good Mornings" or something like that.... Does that help?

Hi! I've missed your posts. Anyway... glad you're still around. I keep trying to squat deep all the way to parallel. I can stay upright in the torso until like the last 2 or so inches down... at that point, I find myself bending way forward. I don't know why. I was squatting 125. I backed off and went down to no weight…

Wow! So many helpful responses. Loved the baby picture... funny, but true, he was in perfect position. Hmmm.... The videos were helpful. I was lifting (heavy for me) like 110+ pounds, but then read that I was shortchanging my posterior chain doing half-squats and so tried to go lower... but then would lean forward more and…

My ankles move so my knees can come forward, but I can't keep weight in heels, butt back AND NOT have the knees go past the toes while balancing. If my knees go past toes, no problem. But everything I've read says that will trash my knees.

Sodium content?

I did try it this morning... only did a few squats with no weight... but with the toes turned out, I was able to go @$$ to the grass and get back up. No pain yet, but I'll wait and see.
-
What is the effect of turning the toes out? Does that change the muscles being worked in the squat? I've seen some folks talk about sumo squats vs. standard squats, and what you're doing sounds like the sumo squat.

Thanks for all the input... any more out there?

Do come back and post after your appt if you learn anything new. Anyone else out there with input?

correction .... 7.5 inches around

Follow-up question. I am female. My fingers are very long for a girl (3+ inches), But, my hands are still fairly delicate (e.g. measuring around the hand above the thumb between it and the forefinger, my hands wrap around with the tape at 8 inches). I'm new to boxing workouts so I'm not sure which size glove is right for…

Thanks for the input. I intend to go to the boxing workout class to get instruction. I know something about punching from Tae Kwon Do. But, want to learn more. It says to attend the class though, you are required to have gloves and wraps. So, I wanted to be prepared.

I wish I could help. I have one. Have had it for about 25 years. It still works. But, no idea who made it and I doubt the pricing from back then would help you. I do know that you need to stretch your feet and calves a lot before using it or you risk developing painful tootsies and plantar fasciatis.

I haven't eaten since an early lunch today at 11:00. But, I don't want to wait till really late to workout. So, I was thinking of chugging one before I go to the gym, get my workout in and then have dinner after.
-
Thanks all... and Jenna, what are bcaas?
-
I know what you mean. If I had the body for it, I'd wear underpants and a jogbra to work out... and NOTHING else. I definitely don't need to sweat more.
-
Exactly... and in the meantime, you'll be hot, sweaty and MISERABLE while working out. Good plan. LOL
-
I never really tried blow drying my sweat (kinda gotta say that makes me go "eww"), but I can see how that would make the "dry" shampoo work better. I may have to keep an open mind on that one. (little voice in my ear says again EEEWWW).

Chelating shampoo, cider vinegar rinse and argan oil. Got it. My conditioner and shampoo both have argan oil. Not strong enough to counteract. I'll try the pure argan oil as suggested. Will have to shop around for the shampoo, but I have plenty of apple cider vinegar. Good to know. Suave dry shampoo.... hmmm... I tried…

Wolfchild59.... I'm so sorry you took my post as "snarky".... I'm assuming you didn't read the post by Curly1986 that came BEFORE yours which said: I was borrowing his/her terminology "captain obvious" and replying to it. That's also why I put the <g> (which you do know means "grin", right?) symbol after my comment. I…
