  • I started this journey on 12/28/11. I wasn't real steady for a couple of weeks, but now I am serious and have lost 12 pounds. But, the thing that makes it worth it all, my clothes fit better, my moods are better, and I want to be better.
  • Mesa, Arizona U.S.A. Its 1:00pm Tuesday here. I am sorry Alaska, but it is sunny and in the 80's today. But, by tomorrow it will be back in the 60's. :grumble: Yes, we love it here In The Valley of The Sun even in the summer when it can be 122 and 100% humidity. Hope everyone is having a great day or evening…
  • Badgers! We don't need no stinking badgers! UHF
  • I used to be an assistant manager at a Plasma Lab here in Arizona. Plasma is the watery part of your blood. You need to keep your water intake higher than normal the day before you donate. It will help with the weakness you feel after donating. be sure to also keep your fat intake down. Like you said, it clogs the filter.…

  • Ok, I am jumping in on this thread. I used to work in a plasma center. A place where people sell the watery part of their blood and the red blood cells a put back into the body. The circulatory system needs water. It can use coffee and so forth, but it likes water. Not so much that water toxicity occurs, but enough to…
  • Well, I have lived here in Mesa AZ the longest, 12 years, so.....Mesa, AZ.
  • Thank you for all your help. I will check out wal-mart and see if they have a scale.
  • Howdy! We are in East Mesa, almost A.J. I joined MFP at the beginning of the year. You know, New Years. I am looking forward to getting down in weight so that I can enjoy the hikes that are around here. I am getting used to moving again. People must be getting a laugh seeing a 41 year old riding around on a three wheeled…
  • I am also a stay at home mom. I have over 100 pounds to lose. I started this journey back in Oct. but joined MFP on Dec 30th. I am finding that I am able to put into effect this lifestyle change easier using this website. I would be honored to encourage you on this journey. :flowerforyou:
  • People are foolish. Counting calories is the most logical way to lose weight there is. I hate the diet scams that are out there. Take this pill and you will lose weight. Eat this way, no protien, no carbs, only one item, and God knows what else there is: you will lose weight. The only things that will truly work are eating…
  • Ok, this is totally crazy. First: I want to be able to shop at Wal-Mart and not have to pay an extra $2 for clothes. Second: I want to be able to fit into a Victoria Secret bra and panty set. (My hubby would love the hose and garter belt that would match it.) Last but not least: I want to go to the pool and be in a…
  • I love to use Just Dance. My kids got me started on it and I can tell you, I Sweat! Its a lot of fun and its a change from the normal. I also found Golds Gym Dance Workout. Just started that one. Hoping for good results.
  • Not a problem..I think you have a great idea going here.
  • Come on Arizona. We have so many places that we can hike. This is the best weather.
  • I joined a group in Mesa AZ and never heard from them again. So, if anyone else would like to go out and play before the heat visits the Valley.... :flowerforyou:
  • I start mine easy, Journey, Reo Speedwagon, so forth. Gotta go with Kiss, Black Eyed Peas, Basshunter, AC/DC, Def Leopard, ***** Cat Dolls, kenny Logans, even Jerry Lee Lewis, Beach Boys. basically party music. To cool down Styx, Queen, The Eagles, Enigma. Yes, I admit to being very eclectic.
  • I can't wait for that. Plus, I can't wait for it to stop going "ohhhhh". Congrats on making it to that stage.
  • I work out in the mornings and my appetite goes bye bye. I have to force myself to eat. I don't really have the major energy boosts for about thirty minutes after I am done. But, I can tell you this, I sleep really good at night. In fact, after about nine pm. I start falling asleep in my chair. Hope that helps.
  • Iron Eagle Footloose Sixteen Candles Caddy Shack Oh this is tough to just narrow down..
  • Back in Sept. of last year I was weigh in at 274. I decided then that this was going to stop. I do not care what it takes but my family deserves to have a mom who will be around for the important events. Including cub scout rocket flights, geometry tutoring, spelling test help and hugs on demand. My oldest son says he sees…
  • I do every year. My hubby works for NFL Live. These are the people who put on the pre-game activities and parties. So, even though our teams are not there we watch.
  • Honey be happy its not the yucky drink. I had a colinoscopy back in oct (not my first) and they gave me the drink. It makes your body flush everything out. I wish my doctor would let me do it your way. But, lemon- lime jello is good and knox has their favor cubes out. They taste better than wylers. Either way you go, lots…

  • I am reading this topic and my heart just aches. The people who are supposed to love us unconditionally are the ones who say the worst things. Do they honestly feel that by making nasty comments it will encourage us to lose weight? What heavy people need to realize (me included) there are more of us than there are of them.…
