Whenever the mood hits.... I wish I had a 24 hour gym near me... But I do have a home gym that isn't bad, so I can go down the basement any time I want. Just be consistent.

Too funny.... yesterday morning and today, I have been trying on a lot of new ( and by new, I mean clothes I haven't worn in years ) and I love the fact that so many are now fitting me! :)

discouraged? :)..... I'm THRILLED! Would love to have 1.5 more ponds of by Feb. 2nd, though.... then I could say I lost 15 pounds in January.

I have eliminated white bread, with all the useless calories. I have switched to these, which I get at BJ's Wholesale: http://www.josephsbakery.com/p-10222-Flax-Oat-Bran-and-Omega-3-Square-Lavash 100 calories for a whole sheet.... lots of protein and omega 3.

ever try bison meat? Very lean.... very beefy....... available at a Wegman's Supermarket if you have one near you.

Ya know what else is motivating? Trying on some shirts that haven't fit in ages, and now they do. I just got done doing that. :)

Thanks, all. I have tried neti pots with no luck. I may try the steam. I do happen to have a nice big container of homemade chicken soup, that I made myself..... But I have had it 2 days in a row, now.... I really am chicken souped out. I get this twice a year, without fail... and it usually lasts 10 - 12 days.

OK, I can't really "run" at 279ish pounds. It kills my shins.... but 15 years ago, I went from 275 pounds down to 217 pounds.... And I started to run. I got up to 2 miles. I can't say that I ever grew to love it, but I can say that I grew to appreciate the feeling of accomplishment for getting better / faster / able to run…

See, I even had a big dinner tonight, and I still have 922 to go ( that said, I really don't think that 50 minutes of shoveling snow burned nearly 600 calories ). It's 7PM and I'm still full from dinner. I will have some kind of smoothie later on... probably a banana, strawberries or cranberries, and spinach smoothie.

See, I decided that TODAY, I actually want a cup of coffee. And I use a flavored creamer. I haven't had much coffee since finding MFP. I used to drink about 20 ounces of iced coffee a day, which really is wasted calories. I'm rationalizing that the snow shoveling makes that A-OK, LOL. But still, if you look at my food log,…

Funny. :) But seriously, I would rather have scrapple than steak.... And there was 15 pounds of it at the reunion! My brother in law can't get it down there so we always bring him some.... usually 2 -3 pounds.... but with the whole family there, about 10 pound were eaten... and yes, I had 2 slices..... but am back on track…

See, now today is really good.... 2 raw smoothies.... and I have found out that I REALLY love cranberries in my smoothies. And by eating this way, I actually get a good feeling when I eat, mentally, that is...... And shortly I'll be off to the produce stand to load up, to make me really want to be back on track.

Well, I think most people love breakfast for dinner.... but most people do not enjoy dinner for breakfast, LOL.... Pre MFP, I know I could enjoy a noce bowl of chili for breakfast! Or leftover Chinese....

Chuck Philadelphia 5' 5" Highest weight ever 326 Started here last week at 283 Now am at 281 Goal is 180ish ( for now ) Dream is 160..... but boy will there be a lot of loose, hanging skin if that happens.

OK, I think I opened my food diary..... The fruit in the morning is all made into "green smoothies".... no added sugar or cream. And i don't drink it all at once.... It takes at least an hour for me to finish it all.

Somebody mentioned salt, so I think I found at least part of my issue. On Jan 2nd and 3rd I ate a lot of sauerkraut. I had NO IDEA there was so much salt in that stuff...... I will start making my own, with a whole lot less salt!

OH, I am not in a rush to get to my final goal, though of course, faster would be nice. But geez, show me some love, throw me bone, give me 1 pound loss! :bigsmile: I know, I need to quit :sad: !
