  • What is wrong with a beutiful woman having a jiggly backside? Mine is my belly. I have regular sized arms and legs. If you looked at a photo of just them you wouldn't think they belonged to a merson that weighs 338lbs. All my weight sems to be going for my torso which is causing me a whole number of problems. When…
  • The fact that you found yourself in the same situation as i did, not feeling part of the group, lack of support could cost the advisor their job as WW lives and dies by that. What WW and somilar clubs do are rely on the fact that you make friends a the group. If you are thnking of leaving because you've stopped losing…
  • Thanks for all the various replies. Today I took the plunge and bought the Abba one to get in touch with my inner "Dancing Queen" Hopefully I'll get to try it out tomorrow. but I have 3 weeks homework that needs to be done by Monday morning so I may have to hold off for a little bit.
  • I was told that the metabolism starts kicking in properly at around 1200-1500 calories. So what happens is I eat 800 calories and exercise. I will burn calories whilst exercising but not as many as if I had easyen above 1200. Think of it aspedalling a bicycle with the break slightly on. You will move and you will get…
  • It completely failed for me. I lost a whopping 1lb in 7 weeks so I quit. I did food diaries, ate only weightwatcher branded foods and for some reason nothing was happening. The advisor was puzzled. I tried Slimming World and I lost weight pretty quickly. Because I I couldn't justify paying out money to get weighed when I'm…
  • Hi Terri, I only joined MFP on Sunday so am new to this and the challenges and how they work. Say for example at the end of the thord week I have lost 7lbs then in the last week I put on 3lbs taking my weightloss back to 4lbs. As I had at some part of January lost the required month 5lbs does that count as…
  • Hi, I did that on Wednesday going twice my allowance. lol I was told it's not a problem going over your protein, but obviously everything in moderation is better. So I wouldn't worry too much about it. I think at the start most people are concentrating on the calories so much they aren't even looking at the other three and…
  • Thanks for the replies. :) If it had been me at home having it I would have weighed it or others in the bag that would be about a similar size, but when you are given a plate of sliced oranges its a tricky one to estimate. I'm usually at least 100 calories below my allowance usually a lot more than that so if I've entred…
  • Fantastic job. You look great and so much healthier. You must be feeling a lot better about yourself and have so much more energy. Good luck losing the rest and achieving your goal.
  • Could you tweet either Bob or Jillian and ask if you should? They are both on Twitter
  • Did anyone see the original versions of The Biggest Loser which was on the Living channel a good few years ago? The 2006 series was won by Jodie Prenger, who went on to win the Graham Norton and Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for Nancy in Oliver show as well as being one of the stars of last years BBC series Candy Cabs
  • If you have access to Sky the first episode of series 10 of the US version (the original version) also started ladt night 8pm Living (I think it is) It's repeated at some point tomorrow and possibly over the weekend too. • I never went to college or university. I left school at 16. When I left I was about (I didn't weigh myself as a leaving school present  ) 238lbs in 1981 and I'm now 338lbs. So gained about 100lbs in 31 years. It could be worse.
  • Wowzers! :noway: You look totally gorgeous. What an incredible job you've done. You've earnt every praise and plaudit you get. Congratulations on achieving such a fantastic result. Aaron is a very lucky man!
  • Thank you all for your replies. I can't get to the gym thisafternoon but am doing a mass tidying up so will be active on my feet with some bending all afternoon so will burn a few calories, I did weigh it with the bones and skin, but trout doesn't have lots of big bones. I never thought whether I should be eating…
  • Hi Erica, I've been on MFP since Sunday. I'm having no problem staying under the calories total but have found I'm doing the same as you. Are you going over your protein limit by a large number or just a small one?
  • My body is a bit of a wreck so most exercise id problematical or just very painful. Another one here that would like to run. My knees are shot to pieces and i have arthritis in my feet and ankles. Even attempting the lightest jog is murder on my joints and really painful. I also have a bad back. At times I can't even stand…

  • If I've done it right above your original post here it says settings. If you click on that there is a check box for you to check if you want your ticker to appear after your postings on the message board. Check that and save and it should do it automatically. However if mine doesn't have a ticker then it didn't work for me…

  • I think it's because usually when you start losing weight it seems to go from the face and neck first so if that starts going down you know the diet and/or exercise is working
  • Hi Rike, Thanks for the welcome and the reply. :) Perhaps 10g was right after all. I assumed 10g was more than a teaspoon. I thought the scraping I was doing was about 2g-3g at most. It's just as well i have lots of calories left i can use up.
  • Weight = 338 Height = 5'10 Neck = 20.5 So far I'm the tallest, heaviest and biigest neck.
  • Hi Mary, thanks for the reply. That's the million dollar question. I'm not 100% sure she is working on nutrician and diet. She's definately eating better than she was, but whether she is sticking to some form of diet is another thing entirely. She lives in denial a lot and has a neighbour called Mr and Mrs Fibs.…

  • My sister asked me a question but I couldn't give her an answer. Hopefully one of you measurers can. :) My sister, a very large woman, has stunned the family by joining the gym and actually going. She's been going and working out regularly for about 7-8 weeks. Her trainer measures her arm, chest waist, hips and leg. In…
