Need to read and figure it out soon.

Short of goal, but better than doing nothing. Have also been doing P90X with my son, so don't know how to add that in.

I often use mine for pulled pork, but thought I would try the same thing with chicken. Put meat and a jar of salsa in crock pot and cook all day. Shred the meat and put on rice or in kaiser buns. So good.

I'm in!

1. Slept in (the beauty of having teenagers is you can!). 2. Walked 5 miles. 3. Read some articles I had put off for awhile. 4. Went out for dinner with my hubby and boys. 5. Enjoying a house full of teenagers who are awesome - they were waiting for a movie to download and had a competition putting together a 100 piece…

I'm new to the challenge and would like to be in for 100 miles in January.

Thank you for showing pictures of the process. It's so good to remember that even if the weight doesn't drop overnight, it's still so worth the effort.

Not a blog or website (that I know of) but some great recipe books by Janet & Greta Podleski are "Eat, Shrink & Be Merry," "Crazy Plates," and "Looneyspoons."

I agree! The pictures and stories are so inspiring and motivating. I also thank you!

Awesome job! Thanks for sharing your story.

I've been there and completely understand where you're at. My babies are now 19 and 17! I lost the baby weight fairly quickly, but the mac n cheese and half eaten sandwiches did me in. I lost all that, though, when I started walking 45 - 60 minutes per day and made sure I was eating healthy - and that the kids were too.…

I make a Quinoa Taboule when I have to bring a salad for a BBQ. So good! 2 Cups cooked and cooled quinoa 1 Cup chopped parsley 1/2 Cup chopped scallions or green onions 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh mint (or 1 tsp. dried) 1 garlic clove, minced or pressed 1 Tbsp. minced fresh basil (or 1/2 tsp. dried) 1/2 Cup fresh lemon juice 1/4…

I take a pork roast and put a jar of salsa on it, marinate it over night and put in on first thing in the morning on low and it's ready for dinner 12 hours later. I often use this when we have friends over as it's so easy. It's nice on a whole wheat bun with cole slaw.

One of my best friends was going through this with her daughter. She couldn't get through a shopping trip without some sort of whining and then a melt down. So one time her daughter threw a temper tantrum in the store, my friend got down on the floor and started kicking and screaming too. The daughter stopped immediately…

My kids love Alfredo sauce and I rarely have it anymore, so I'll have to see if this passes inspection. Sounds delish!

That's so frustrating! I can relate though. It's taken me 8 months to get 22 pounds off and clothes size didn't start changing for 5 or 6 months, but then they started changing fairly rapidly. I am a similar size with similar goals. Even though it's hard, keep being persistent and it will happen. Congratulations on that…

Try not calling it a diet. Tell yourself that you "get" to eat healthy and you "get" to exercise. If we make it positive, our bodies and minds will crave it rather than fight deprivation.

Tricep dips really help. They are killer, but they do the job.

Nice reminder!

Leafy greens are good, but you need to add vitamin C to help it absorb into your body, for example, spinach and strawberries or spinach and tomatoes. Check cereal labels because some are quite high in iron. Another thing that's a nice treat that's high in iron is Vitamuffin Tops.

You could do a cleanse to start things off again, but consistency matters.
