  • I am diabetic so I just gave up drinking fruit juice. Too much sugar. I just eat the piece of fruit because then you get all the other good nutrition fruits have to offer. Everyone kept tellling me how good the Naked juices were for you, but look at the labels, no fiber, except for the acai one. Lots of calories too.
  • eat a balanced diet of (good) carbs, proteins, and fats. The body needs all to function. Sheesh!
  • There is no way I could do a fast. I need to eat. Trying to fast would probably cause me to binge. I actually eat about every 2 hours.

  • tbs or 1/2 tbs. of whipping cream
  • I hate yoga, but, everytime I do it, I feel so much better. I also hate lifting heavy weight. Couldn't hardly make myself do it when I was going to the gym everyday. Don't have any heavy weights at home so I don't do it at all.
  • 1/ cup steel cut oats with 1/4 cup 6 grain cereal with 1 tbls. flax seed also a little butter and sweetner
  • you should talk to your doctor and probably a nutritionist. I have (for totally different reasons) but it helped a lot. We are trying to learn healthy eating habits that we can maintain for a lifetime.
  • I love cottage cheese, but only Prairie Farms large curd cottage cheese. I don't eat any other kind.
  • stay away from that stuff. If it sounds too easy, it's probably sleazy.
  • I have been having the same problem. I always feel empty. My doctor said to add more carbs so I have been eating a bowl of oatmeal in the morning, but I still feel empty much of the time. Fruits and veggies are not filling at all. I have been thinking about adding a few more calories because I don't think I should feel so…
  • i did just recently discover the carbmaster yogurt. I love the raspberry. I have found that the artificial sweetners are causing terrible gas however.
  • losing 30 lbs in 6 weeks is a completely unrealistic goal. Can you maintain that type of workout schedule for the rest of your life? Working out 3 hours a day is a good way to end up injured or completely burnt out. Adding weight training to your workout regime is a very good idea. As a diabetic myself, I was told that I…
  • I don't own a scale so I only weigh when I go to the dr. every 6 to 12 week. I measure daily. I think it is much less stressful. The measuring tape doesn't show those natural daily fluctuations.
  • talk to your doctor and maybe a nutritionist
  • I love cashews and almonds. Both are around 170 calories for 1/4 cup.
  • Just keep track of your calorie intake just like you did when you were dieting except now you are keeping track of maintenance calories. That is what I plan to do. I have regained lost weight before and I don't want to do it again.
  • yogurt is loaded with sugar. I gave up eating it. I sometimes get yogurt with sweeteners when I would really like some yogurt, but that isnt' good for you either.
  • Bob Harper's Body Rev dvd. One hour.
  • if you go to collagevideo.com, they have a workout series called "sit and be fit". I got it for my stepmother because she has degenerative arthritis. You could also get some weights and work on upper body.
  • I bought all of Bob Harper's dvd workouts and they are incredible. They are $5 on his website mytrainerbob.com. Check out collagevideo.com also. It is all workout videos. Every kind you can imagine. I am a big fan of Karen Voight, Gilad Janklowicz and Tamilee Webb.
  • you probably won't have to get into it with her because she most likely won't be able to maintain such low calorie intake for very long.
  • I love cashews and almonds. 1/4 cup for around 170 calories.
  • I HATE onions. They are disgusting. Don't like the way they taste, smell or biting into one when I am eating. Sickening!
  • adding a lot of extra protein into your diet doesn't really help you. Your body only uses a certain amount of protein everyday and then passes the rest out of your body. Just eat the recommended daily allowance of protein and that is sufficient. I tend to overeat protein without even trying. Most people, except for…
  • thanks for the info. I was way undereating. No wonder I felt empty all the time. I had also underestimated my fitness level. I exercise pretty hard 7 days a week, but my job is sedentary. I was considering myself lighly moderate. I still don't plan to eat as many calories as it said, but I am definetely going to eat more…
  • can you not do any upper body exercises either? I watched a program once about exercise where if someone could not exercise one leg, exercising the other leg just by itself even helped improve the injured leg. Just wondered if maybe you could workout with some light weights and do some bicep curls and other upper body…
  • there is something to be said for both. I like going to the small gym uptown because I really enjoy the social part of it. I go to the aerobics classes and when the ladies get to laughing and talking, it seems like the time flies by. I also do workouts that I normally wouldn't like yoga on thursdays. That's what they do on…
  • get into a man's pushup position and hold it. Use your stomach muscles to help you hold form. You can also get on elbows and do the same thing. Hold for a minute or more. Strengthens stomach and arms.
  • Go to collagevideo.com. They have all kinds of workout videos. All different types of videos for all different fitness levels. They give excellent descriptions and you can watch a clip of each different workout. They aren't too expensive and you get your videos really quickly.
  • do them anyway you want to, just keep doing them
