I eat a lot of nuts and oily fish but I still suppliment with fish oil. I read that the perfect balance of omega 3 to omega 6 is around 1 to 1 but in todays diet theres much more omega 6 so most of us should suppliment.

I just don't get fast food, I had ribeye steak for dinner last night, it took 1.5 mins to cook each side (rare) and while it wwas resting (about another 3 mins) I made a spinach, walnut , pear and parmesan salad. whole thing including washing up took about 8 minutes. Fat2fit says I'm 26% last time I did a measurement I was 32% my scales say 33. I'd love to be 26 but I dont think I am.

I've switched to eating full fat everything, no low fat alternatives. still in my cal restriction but I feel more satisfied and the food tastes better.

I log what I've done/ how much I lifted by hand ( work out schedule at the gym) for calories sake I put it in Mfp at strength in cardio,I know it's not exactly accurate but I feel cheated working that hard and not logging it.

You can buy huge elastic bands that you hook around the bar and kneel in to assist your pull up. I eat paleo- which isn't exactly low carb, more choosing to eat nutritious carbs ie instead of having grains I'll eat veggies, I can honestly sayit's changed my life. It all depends what you read, I'd call bad carbs grains and legumes and good carbs veg and fruit. Marksdailyapple has some info if you want to read about it. Others will no doubt disagree but it's working well for me

I'm not knocking the mileage at all- nor do I imagine that s&c work would knock 6mins off most people time- I was particularly slow! I'm sure running practice is brill for getting faster however there's no doubt strength work helps, Mo Farah only became really successful after adding an S&C program to his schedule.

Finally figured out how to post pictures here's my progress one and if I can do it so can you. Ist pic 250lbs 2nd 218 3rd 180 I'm now 173 and will prob keep going until im around 160. I haven't worked this hard not to be ripped.

I get horrid cramps usually at night after exercising and in my shins, at the time drinking tonic water eases it but I have found I sometimes need to have a dyoralite sachet to help. Eating a banana every day wasn't enough.

i've found some unusual side effects too- I always have a blocked nose and by this point in the year I've usually been popping antihistamines like sweets to combat hayfever, I haven't taken one yet and my blocked nose is no more. it really is v strange.

Quite an appropriate read this morn, all I can say is "Ow it burns" Had bread yest and this morn, heart burn and bloat is awful- I don't know why I do it it's bloody stupid but OH isnt paleo and brought black pudding bread in and I caved. Paleo curry planned for tea thank god. Owwwwww
