  • Eggs (1 whole egg + 2 egg whites, almost every day!), cheese, and frozen ice cream/frozen yogurt bars (Weight Watchers Strawberry Smoothie bars, and Weight Watches Chocolate Fudge Bars!! ). I can't stay away from them - but at least they give me extra calcium! lol
  • I use local, raw honey, 100% pure maple syrup, and organic turbinado (raw sugar) - all in moderation, of course. And then there are my totally processed and bad-for-you indulgences...but I try real hard to keep it all to a minimum!
  • I didn't mean to imply you didn't know what organic meant - But a lot of people get confused by "organic" products and think it means they are all natural. Trust me, when I heard about Agave Nectar at first, I imagined workers going out to a plant and getting the nectar sort of like they get maple syrup. lol I don't see…
  • I wanted to let you know you might want to look into the agave nectar a little more if you are aiming to limit processed foods (namingly HFCS). Agave nectar isn't make from the "succulent leaf of the agave plant" like the bottles claim - it's actually made from the root starches of the agave plant - it's processed very…
  • =) Thanks! I did take measurements! I forgot to post them! Also, I had to take off a few days. Once during level two, and the last 2 or 3 days of level three (I pulled my back and couldn't move), but I think my body really needed the recovery time. I plan on doing 6 days a week for ripped in 30. I'll take a day off between…
  • I liked Ripped a lot so far! I find it way harder than level 1 of the 30DS, but after doing the whole Shred, you are pretty prepared for it! There are a few moves already from the Shred incorporated in, and some new ones, which is definitely nice! I think my favourite part is that it's divided into 4 levels instead of…
  • That is so true! I couldn't do jump ropes for 10 seconds when I started, but I would switch to butt-kicks or something else to keep myself moving. Sometimes you gotta make it up! lol
  • Thanks everyone!! I'm excited to see how Ripped in 30 goes! It seems harder than the Shred!! I can't wait for the end of Feb!
  • Those Chef Boyardee pizza kits aren't too bad! I made a cheese one (with LOTS of veges on it) and ate half the 12" pizza for 771 calories (if I was doing pizza, I was DOING PIZZA). I fit it in my calories too by doing an extra workout - my dinners are usually 350-550 anyway, so it wasn't a HUGE stretch. But for 1/4 of the…
  • Oh yeah - I'm already tracking my measurements here - I've lost several inches already all over my body!
  • That's the BF% calculator I used. I didn't realize that one for TDEE had a drop down for BF% instead of height - I just put everything in there, and it gave me 1700-something calories. That's a bit better than 1600 at least. Come spring and fall, I'll be able to go outside and be more active (summers get too hot…
  • No, I am 21, but that was the only calculator I could find that takes lean body mass into consideration. Even if I take the standard sedentary equation: BMR * 1.2, I still get in the 1600 range. I don't see why age matters? I'm so confused.
  • http://weight-loss-for-women-over-40.com/bmr-calorie-needs-calculator.htm That's where I calculated it from, and I used my lean body mass (100lbs based on my Body Fat %), and I used sedentary, which I consider myself (not counting exercise that I eat back anyway). I am sitting most of the day playing with my kid - we have…
  • I used another calculator to calculate my TDEE based on my lean body mass and activity level and it is only 1620 calories/day...so if I go up to 1600 won't I just be maintaining? =/
  • Oh gosh...well I got 125 as my last heart rate, and I picked average (even though that's a stretch - I've only been working out a little over 3 weeks...lol) and it gave me 190...which is lower than what my HRM was originally set at when it was subtracting it from 220. However, I've hit heart rates of 191 and 194 while…
  • That is very helpful! Thank you! I will do that!
  • That's why I want to log it for tomorrow. I unfortunately am a perfectionist, and I want to "perfectly" meet my goals every day....as crazy as that sounds. For some reason, the thought of going even a little bit "over" and seeing that red causes me anxiety...so I didn't know if it would be damaging to log exercise I do…
  • I think that's what my HRM did by default - but some website said for females it is the 226, so I got confused and wondered if that's why I somehow got above my "maximum" heart rate that my HRM set for me.
  • Now THAT I definitely agree with! I've only lost 10lbs, but I've gone down 4 women's jean sizes! I HAD to buy a pair of jeans that fit me because I looked like I was trying to start a new trend.
  • Amazing job! I'm glad to know that the 30 Day Shred followed by Ripped in 30 is effective! I have less than a week left of the 30 Day Shred, then I'm moving on to Ripped in 30!
  • Ah yes, so very true. I wasn't sure how to explain it - you do a much better job than me! I don't mind my diary being open - I have nothing to hide, and if someone wants to judge me, that's fine! I think it's funny someone randomly checked my diary and actually decided to say something because they were sooo…
  • Ha! I love it! ... "But a doctor on TV said..." *sigh*
  • They weren't even a "friend," just some random person! I just blocked them - wasn't even going to take the two seconds to say thanks for the advice!
  • Lol I wonder why people think it's okay to randomly message people about what they ate when they didn't ask. There was one day I had I think FOUR of my Strawberry Smoothie bars - and they were very delicious! And then another day, my mother-in-law served me about 1/6 of a Turtle Pie (after I first rejected the piece that…
  • My days are weird - I wake anywhere from 5am-8am (the toddler), and then I don't usually get to eat breakfast until about 10-12. So some days, I eat breakfast at noon, then have a snack or two, then eat lunch at about 3ish, have another snack or two then eat dinner at about 5-6ish (depending on if I work out before or…
  • That sentence makes my head hurt!!
  • Haha! Yeah totally! It wasn't even a friend of mine - just some random person. LOL I DO eat a TON of calories after my proper dinner, because I usually workout either right before dinner or right after, and I'm starving when I'm done! It's all within my "budget", so I enjoy every last calorie!
