  • A lot of people think my parenting philosophies are weird (in a nutshell, attachment parenting)...I've been known to offer to donate my breastmilk to other babies who had to stop breastfeeding for whatever reason (well, to their momma's obviously) on more than one occasion....and also to my grandmother to help with her…
  • Four year old thread FAIL! :flowerforyou:
  • True... =/ It would be nice though...:grumble:
  • I am fitting into XL yoga pants instead of XXL, but the XXL's were already a little loose on me to begin with, so I just thought it was a fluke. I definitely lost some water weight, I just didn't realized water weight could cause inches lost. That makes sense!
  • I'll be your friend! =)
  • Hi everyone! I am 5'1". My CW is 215, and my GW for Valentine's Day (actually, my initial goal for that is Feb 8th, my daughter's first birthday) is 205. I know we can do it!!

  • Great job staying motivated!! I almost didn't do it today too, because I was exhausted from my daughter not sleeping last night - at all! I felt more energized when I finished though! I bet it felt good to finish it today! =)
  • I finished day 7 today too! I totally agree it doesn't feel like I'm going to die!! Congrats on 4lbs lost!! I weigh myself Monday, and I take my measurements tomorrow morning - I'm nervous!! I was going to skip tonight because my daughter didn't sleep AT ALL last night and I was exhausted, however, I pushed through and SO…

  • Agreed! I can't wait for next season. I'm interested in seeing if we keep Crennel - I sure hope so - the guy seemed to know what he was doing! I'm sure we will, but ya never know who could come out of the woodworks...
  • Totally in!! I'm 5'1" CW: 215 GW: 135 GW by V-day: 205
  • Not necessarily fertility reasons, but because being fat and pregnant is HORRIBLE. I was absolutely miserable, and I could barely walk by the end. Our plans were to ttc when my daughter turned 12 months (next month), but we are putting it off until I lose some weight - this time I am actually going to do it though, so it…
  • Oh gosh...I totally lied on mine last July. It was at 150 (I was about 220), and I told the lady that since I had just had a baby in Feb, I was a bit above it at 165. lol....so yeah...I can't wait until I'm AT then BELOW my DL weight!
  • That makes me feel a little better about the 30DS! Mine said 274 for the 30DS. I ate a bowl of yogurt with come granola and raspberries, which took up about 300 calories (and it makes me feel so guilty because it's so yummy), and left 200 calories in the green. I think I can feel "safe" with that right now. I feel like I…
  • Yeah...That's why I thought it seemed too high.
  • I walked 3/5 of a mile in 16 minutes, so I think that's about 2.5 (maybe a little less, even)...but it does involve a hill 3 times and pushing a stroller about half the time.
  • I do have my goal set to 2lbs a week, however, my BMR is1,678 calories/day according to the thing under "Tools", and my calories to eat are 1200. So that's only a 678 deficit, but I know that any less and I'd go into starvation mode.
  • So should I trust that my HRM is correct then? For example, I walked for 16 minutes at about 2.5mph, and it said I burned 164 calories. That seems awfully high, although I do weigh 215, so I know I'd burn more calories than a lighter person...Does anyone about my weight know if that's about accurate? ETA: Oh, and I was…
  • Does anyone have experience with this HR monitor? Or can at least tell me if I'm using it right? (under my bust)
  • I think it's different for each person. Look at your total week's deficit - they say 3500 calories is a pound, so I'd look at your weekly deficit and see if you can "afford" to cheat again - if not, then you'll have to just decide to be okay with that, or decide not to eat more. What is your calorie limit set at? If you…
  • I add mine as a "drink", and it adds negative calories - search it just like you search any other food. My daughter is almost a year old, but nursing fairly minimally - she eats a lot of solid foods now, so I subtracts 200 calories for it. I've been doing this 6 days now, and eating back the breastfeeding and exercise…
  • I am 5'1" too, Kayla! I had gained 31 pounds with my daughter, but it was mostly waters and baby (10lbs 11oz!!) so I dropped it plus 7 additional pounds about 2 weeks after birth...however, I gained about 7 pounds in December...so I started at 224 (right after I ate dinner, at night) on the 1st, and I'm already down to 215…
  • Hi! You basically described me! Lol! I'm a 21 y/o mother to one (11 months), and step mother to one as well (12 years - yeah, my DH is older than me. lol) I'm in school (online, but VERY tough) full time - I finished my Associates in July but for some odd reason said, "Hey, why don't I go back and get my Bachelors?" I'm a…
  • I need to lose about 100 pounds - I definitely agree with others about making small goals. My goal was to be at 215 by Valentine's Day, and I weighed myself this morning and to my surprise, I was at 214.9x! It made me feel that much better! Now I reset my goal to 210 by Valentine's Day, but it's more than likely I'll be…
  • I'm actually making it a 90-day program and doing 30-30-30. I want to be able to do each level effortlessly, and right now (just completed day 4), I'm still struggling with level 1. My sister and husband are also doing the program with me, and they are both struggling too though, so I don't feel *too* bad.
  • I can't do em either, and I think I'm probably "cheating" at even the girly ones. As long as I feel a little burn, I figure it's making me stronger.
  • I'm new here, but after just a few days, I think what will work best for me is logging my dinners (I meal plan for dinners a month in advanced, so I can play with the ingredients until they are low calorie/healthy) that way I know what I can eat the rest of the day. I'm not going to log exercise until it happens, and I'll…
  • Okay...so I HAD to give in to the temptation today and weigh myself even though I was going to wait until next Monday...I lost FIVE pounds! Granted, a lot of that is probably because I've been drinking a LOT more water, but still! FIVE POUNDS! I met my "by Valentine's Day" goal in 4 days!
  • I don't have weights (well I do, but my husband is using them), so I use Wii remotes, which are probably half a pound each. :embarassed: I might get some spaghetti sauce cans to use for the chest fly's though because I don't feel that one burn at all.
  • I am stoked! I had to eat seconds at dinner PLUS eat some nuts tonight (and I had a coffee and a few chocolate covered mints!) to get enough calories, and I still am about 200 behind, however I subtract 200 for breastfeeding, and the kiddo was away for about 3 hours and didn't BF as much today, so I'm calling it even. I…
  • My cups of coffee cost me 72 calories a cup (2 TBSP organic half&half and 2 tsp raw sugar), and I decided that I wouldn't drink the coffee unless I have a day with extra points (either from exercise or eating less that day), but that works for me because the caffeine doesn't keep me awake, and I like an evening cuppa. I am…
