  • I hurt today too!!! Yay for DOMS!!!!! I guess that's a bonus for not lifting weights for almost 2 week! Though you are so right, that it does make you feel like you did more somehow. Weirdness..... Now to go stretch it out in yoga tonight. I've been kinda quiet - it's been stressful at work lately. My company just had…
  • I'd like to take credit since you used a packer photo, Vette :). You're welcome :D
  • I've tried shepherd's pie with the sweet potatoes - I like it, but I like the slices and how they get nice and crispy! Num! And I need the beefy flavor lol Though I do love the addition of parsnips! I'll have to try that. Worchresrheeh is one of my favorite flavors - that and A1 steak sauce. So good!!!
  • First time back to the weights in almost 2 weeks - and I only had to drop on my OHP, which I think is pretty awesome. It was definitely hard - but it felt good to get back to weights after a busy couple of weeks! Squat 4x5 - 95 1x5 -115 OHP - 5x5 - 50 DL - 5x5 - 140 weighted side bends - 30 had a hard time with my grip on…
  • Tonight for dinner I'm making shepherd's pie - well, it would actually be cottage pie since it's with ground beef rather than lamb. I use 1 lb ground sirlion 95% lean 1 small can tomato paste garlic - as desired rosemary - crush as desired peas carrots sliced potatoes Brown the sirloin and add the peas and carrots to cook…
  • Me thinking of alternatives.....You could use pureed cauliflower rather than mashed potatoes, that way it could fit into a regular day rather than "cheat".
  • Just catching up folks... Audii - You look great!!! You can really see a difference in your belly - great job!!!!
  • Love!!!! Share!!! Pierogis are among some of my favorite foods!!!!! Is that the same thing???
  • The great thing about won tons is you can put anything in them!!! For sloppy joe you can just use any recipe or manwich. Hmmmm yum! Maybe I'll try it with my Philly sloppy joes....
  • Try a sloppy joe one!!! That's my favorite!!!
  • So ok....my goals. I don't so much have specific numbers I want to hit with my lifts - but I want to see a definite reduction in BF%. I would like to lose 10% body fat in the next 6 months. And when I am finished with 6 months of SL I am switching to Wendler 5/3/1....so those are my goals more than anything. My goal to…
  • Ha!!! That's very similar to mine!!! I got too tired to type it all out... Minus pasta - just cause I stopped eating pasta a while ago...
  • Yep, I always write my list out before I go. I pick meals that will make leftovers or can be remade from leftovers. Like my turkey soup and open face turkey sandwiches are frozen leftover turkey from thanksgiving. Otherwise I keep my pantry stocked with essentials: Chicken stock Rice Tomatoes - puréed, diced, paste…
  • I'm not counting any numbers until I left next time since I haven't lifted for a week and now I'm sick - so February we'll start fresh. On another note - I was at the Gym yesterday and was finding out how many I've gone to the gym this month. 21 days for January! I was quite please with that -
  • So I do weekly meal planning, mostly to save money and because I like to cook - and before my plague takes full effect I wanted to get my grocery shopping done, and thought I'd share my menu for the next however many days with you guys. Most of this is homemade, or semi-homemade: 1. Enchiladas - 2. Mexican Pizzas - like…
  • Here's the herding cat video that I would love were it not for my coworker..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk7yqlTMvp8
  • Ugh herding cats....NOOOOOO I hate that term!!!! Only because a coworkers that I absolutely CANNOT STAND uses that analogy all the freaking time....drives me insane. Well it probably wouldn' drive me insane but she drives me insane, so the two have a relationship. I have a hard time getting people to understand what we're…

  • So totally off topic but I had to share with you guys.....I've been looking at going back to school so that I can up my computer programming skills. So I finally did that today.... The major bonus was since I already went to this school that I don't have to reapply and pay fees - which makes it so stinking easy that I'm…

  • http://www.tablespoon.com/recipes/lasagna-cupcakes-recipe/1/ These are the ones that I've made. Who knows, maybe Canadians consider wonton wrappers something else, look what you guys did to bacon!!!! Just sayin'...... :D
  • It works best if you have a cupcake tin - You line the cupcake tin with the wonton wrapper and stuff it with whatever. you could do veggies or whatever - beans. Go nuts. It's also a good way to indulge in lasagna without all the lasagna calories. Vegas - at my store they have it in the produce sections, generally by the…
  • yeah mine usually smokes too, evoo has lower smoke point than most oils. You could switch to a canola oil I think that has a higher smoke point than evoo. I just keep evoo around generally. Or you could put the oven at a lower temperature as well. I highly recommend with the rosemary when you get a chance!!! So worth it!…

  • Hey there ladies! I have PCOS, as well! I was diagnosed when I was 18. Literally the day before I went to college. Like so many of you I have struggled with my weight, and still do. I have about 50 lbs I would like to lose. As much as I hate it and don't want it to exist - it does. It really effects my self esteem, I think…
  • Tameko that sounds similar to a wheat berry salad I made - 'cept the beets were cranberries instead. I really enjoyed the texture of the wheat berry, which looks a lot like farro, so I'm assuming they are of the same family. Extraordinary - I would love an unlimited meat supply!!! That's awesome that you had that and you…
  • Just tried finding you but it didnt' come up with anything - I'm under darwinforyou@yahoo.com
  • You're awesome thanks !!!! I am reading up on it - I'm totally an over analyzer and like to involve heavy periods of study before I take stuff on. So until I completely understand it, I wouldn't even attempt it. I'm wondering if I need to lose some more weight, first, too before I even go further.
  • I want to do cardio....I have my zumba classes with my ladies back home here, and I really don't want to give those up. Just wasn't sure how those would fit in with the whole 5/3/1 and the stuff I've read. I think hill sprints would really suck for my knees....even zumba bothers my knees sometimes. Lifting doesn't but it…
