I've been using a combination of body weights exercises (pushups, planks, wall sits ,etc) I also supplement these with faux TRX straps that hang from my door. That gives me a great workout, and seriously cost 40 dollars, way less than the actual TRX bands and they work just as well. I'm a huge fan of bodyweights, pushups,…

I love lifting and what is has done for me! I've lost tons of inches, specifically from around my waist and cardio would NOT do that..... I've lost sizes in clothing - and I'm not even to my goal yet. I'll get there - but I love how I'm getting there. More women need to lift and this thread is awesome to show that women…

I let my cat drink my left over almond milk all the time - his coat has become more glossy since I've started doing that.

^I want to see this happen. Also - concur on smith - get the heck off of that thing!!! I do a yoga squat position that helps me with that range of motion, too, so I tend to do that on a regular basis and also as a warm up before my squats.

I have a watch type - and I have found it to be pretty accurate overall especially in comparison to chest straps and also general calorie burns of exercises on MFP. Though it monitors my heart rate pretty consistently but also allows for easy updates if I want it to. But that doesn't sound right at all - Your average…

BTW this is an awesome response on OHP - "OHP is a tough lift to progress. Also, the more advanced you get with a particular lift is, the harder it is to progress it. At your body weight, 5 reps at 70 is far into intermediate territory, coming very close to advanced. Even at 60 lbs, it's intermediate. When we get into the…

yes - overhead presses are tough, and women historically struggle with them. I don't know any ladies here that do not struggle with them. But overall the goal is to lift heavy things and put them down. I guess I don't get how your comment was constructive or informative? How about asking her how much she has been lifting…

whew I just kinda killed it! with the exception of OHP.....that kinda sucked..... Squat 5x5 - 125 OHP - 55 Deadlift - 1x5 175 Assisted Dips - 3x5 I'm wondering if my OHP sucked cause I've been doing swimming lately? who knows.... But Ialso swam laps after the weights and actually had no issues at all, felt awesome. Feeling…

I keep a salt block by the side of my bed for those midnight salt cravings.

All of the above - I try not to go by my scale anymore cause all it does is make me feel bad, like I'm not achieving anything. That's why I take pictures and go by how my clothes feel. For the whole counting calories as edible - the ONLY thing I count calories for right now is when I do a crazy amount of cardio like I am…

I use chalk and was amazed at what a difference it made

Have you tried chalk at all??

What type of grip are you using? I find a mixed grip works best for me. I have very small hands, too, but am at 175 for my deadlift using a mixed grip.

I feel like my *kitten* is looking pretty awesome and I'm looking more compact overall - I'm quite happy with my progress! Really working on…

The idle ironman is this ironman competition they're doing through-out the month of March, you have 31 days to finish.
