I would say that 3 weeks isn't bad either - but I'm only 10 lbs in....and have plenty to lose yet. It's too early to plateau is my point, more than anything, at least, I think so..... It's just hard watching my friends who are doing the exact same thing and they are losing weight while I'm not, especially when I am working…

This is awesome! I just started a weight training program....I also belong to the group Stronglifts 5X5 for Women - it's a weight lifting program! And it's easy to start - check it out ladies! I have done it in the past and had really good luck with it, but I've back pedaled the last few years....so I totally recommend it…

I think I need to start watching my carb intake more - I have to some extent, but I'm having such a hard time getting the weight off even watching my calories and exercise frequently. I have PCOS as well and I think to some extent I have sort of avoiding that I have to diet differently than those around me and give up the…

I find this hilarious....just had to say thanks for laugh!

I find the farmer's market is actually cheap and the sizes are bigger than what you can buy at the store.

I also load up on squash, they last fast over....sweet potatoes, lettuce, green beans, cabbage, broccoli, carrots....peppers. I go almost every weekend until it's done. It's where we get most of our vegetables from. Though it sucked for fruits this year, dunno what happened but we have had nada! I was hoping it would get…

Leftover spaghetti squash with tomato basil spaghetti sauce with lean sirloin. The night before was cauliflower rice (food processor) with chicken and stir fried vegetables with stir fry sauce. I second the pinterest.....I get a TON of ideas from there.....it fits any diet or food niche you may have!

I was too lazy to read through all of the posts on this....but it reminds me of a lot of the food "movements" going on outside of specific diets. More like Foodies themselves. If anyone watches anything food related on TV Bizarre Foods and whatnot....insects are par for course. I think there are a lot of cultures (outside…

That's what happened with me on the 5X5 last time....on Squats. I plateaued and wasn't able to get any higher, total failure, which is good...so I'm curious how it will go this next time around. I just seriously don't want bulky muscles, but I definitely want to put more strenght back in this body.

What's Madcow? I eat around 1400 a day depending on what my exercise level is, generally I do cardio 5x a week, thinking Yoga might be replaced with lifting, there's a lot of strength moves in yoga.

this is great!!! I've been looking at adding in strength training into my routine....I'm going to check out that 5X5 I used to do it when I was thinner, but didn't really stick to it. As a woman I'm not sure what a good program is for strength training/lifting, I don't want to get huge muscles but I'd love to add more…

All of these are such great inspiration!!! I think that looking at all these photos, helps, especially when you're having a tough day....knowing there are other people out there who did it. thanks everyone!

Or anything thing I used to do, but I have been too busy to do it....I'd make frozen breakfast sandwiches ahead for the week. I'd take the thomas 100 calorie english muffin or 110 bagel thin, spray some pam in a coffee mug or ramikin, add one serving of egg beaters, then put that on the english muffin, top it with a slice…

I'm a fan of two water poached eggs, with runny yolks....and then two slices of low calorie bread (sara lee or village hearth both have slices of bread for under 100, then a tbsp of brummel and brown, put the poached eggs on the toast and let the runny yolks drip down. delicious. 140+45+80=265 Have myself a cup of coffee…

My go to snacks lately are asian pears, so good super cold from the fridge, string cheese and carrots and hummus. Though I had a charcuterie plate at a restaurant last week and it was cheese that you dipped in honey and then nuts, never would have thought but it was so delicious! I think that might something I could try…

I second the Oak Leaf trail..... I tend to use that more than anything else. I use it for running, biking or just taking my dog for a walk.....plus it goes for miles and also is part of the Root River parkway too - so you can hit so many parks depending on how far you go.

Good lord! Reading what people won't eat, I must be the odd (wo)man out. I LOVE any strange food that exists out there - the weirder the better, but to me this list isn't even strange. All foods (minus quinoa) that I buy on a regular basis. Greek Yogurt is such a great replacement for any cream or sour cream - I make dips…

Ok - I'll give it to you on the protein - but as for the eggs -if you substitute two large eggs which is the general for cooking you still get an even higher reduction. Every little bit can count.
-
Have you tried almond milk as a replacement? You could get even lower calories plus more protein - and for the eggs, do the egg beaters, I bet these could be under 100! I'm gonna try it, I love blueberry muffins!

I have my goal at 1400 calories - I also believe that 1200 is not realistic and actually is not healthy. Consider eating fruit and vegetables - Carrots are higher calorie for a vegetable, and one small serving of them is 35 calories. Add up a baggie for lunch or whatnot - and you're around 100+ just for carrots. CARROTS!…
