Logged - Father's Day lunch KILLED me, so I will be eating steamed broccoli and maybe an apple the rest of today. :-(

Visalis sweet cream is a good base, but I added extracts and pudding mix (1/4 to 1 tsp) of various flavors to get a decent taste. To me, that added prep time and defeated the purpose of a quick breakfast option. Zeal Vanilla Creme or Chocolate Delight both taste great to me. These are the only two I have tried that I would…

Help. Please. Any suggestions will be appreciated and considered. I really struggle on Saturdays when I visit my son. Folks, when vending machines are your ONLY choice for at least one meal and snack, well, I know you can see the dilemma. I exercised before leaving and should have eaten a big breakfast, but instead I…

Logged - today was hideous - feel free to view and avoid doing what I did today.

Thanks! Too bad we sold the goats or I could use fresh goat cheese. Looking forward to trying this.

Congrats!!!!! Eliminating soda (MD and DP) was so very hard for me. I detest diet sodas, so was never tempted to switch. What made it happen for me was making sure I drank ALL my water and plenty of protein for my activity level. When those two things happen, my cravings are minimal or gone. I haven't had a soda of any…

Who has a recipe for cauliflower crust pizza that they LOVE?

It is tough being the only exerciser in the house of 4 adults and several near me who keep saying they want to walk or work out. YouTube has been beneficial to me. I have a Total Gym, but even then, I need variety, so I switch up the workouts and push myself on intensity. I admire each of you for making this commitment and…

I have been LAZY, so today I forced myself to get out of the house to walk. Due to an interruption, I walked later than I intended and it was very hot and humid. I did get in 33 minutes of walking about 2.5 miles up and down hills and was sopping wet with sweat. Just getting back to it was a victory today.

Logged - what a terrible day of eating. Yesterday I did not log - it was about like today. Awful. This accountability is making me feel guilty, which is why it works. Tomorrow, I go to visit my son. Unfortunately the only things to eat there are from vending machines, so lunch will be awful, but breakfast and dinner I can…

I am hoping to lose a little in that area because I am out of proportion. Unfortunately, they blew up when I had my first child, then didn't reduce when I lost weight twice before. Since I am older, I am hopeful to lose SOME so I regain proportion.

Variety is my friend. A personal trainer friend suggested finding a routine and sticking with it for 6-10 weeks, then changing it up. If not changed every 6-10 weeks, the muscles adapt.

Roller coaster ride sounds perfect for this group - somewhere most of us have been on our fitness journey. And 75 pounds is undernourished, even skin and bones, so we must have him in much better health before he would be out and about for any chance meeting.

I use some Paleo recipes, but not their eating plan.

Just as with the I Wagged My Tail Today thread, just say "did it" or something along that line unless you want to share more. Some have public food diaries, so you can click on their user name and view their diary. If there is one you particularly like, if you are viewing from a laptop or PC, you can print a report of…

I would tell my past self to not trust someone just because they were pursuing a similar goal, but to protect myself, and to not take responsibility for someone else's assault on me. It set me up for a lifetime of victim behavior (including padding my body with fat by overeating) that I am still learning everyday to…

I think he loves women....a little too much....and has a standard he believes every woman should meet. Obviously that is foreign, willowy, blonde model. So much to not like about all three candidates. I am not setting my hopes on any of them to improve our nation or our world.

On Wednesday, I walk/jogged a 5K. Usually when I go any distance, I walk. NEVER jog or run. For several reasons, I was motivated to jog UP the hills on this particular 5K. It was a HUGE NSV for me and I broke down and cried afterward. Now I know that I am capable of so much more. Although I never enjoyed running, even as a…

June 6-10 I was at church camp. I wagged Monday through Thursday, not on Friday unless you count the normal walking up and down hills for scheduled activities.

I was at church camp all week and not able to get online. Last year, I gained 5 pounds at camp, cooking all week and having to eat the high fat, high salt, high sugar tasty junk the kids all like. This year, I was a sponsor and took most of my own food, walked, swam, or walk/jogged 4 of the 5 days. You would…

It did not begin that way, I assure you. And there are types of exercise I loathe - running - possibly others, but I would rather take a beating than run. That was true when I weighed 116 pounds until now. Perhaps that will change some day, but I prefer low-impact, high-intensity exercise. Variety is my friend and I look…

Nice! So glad to be here with all of you - moving it forward toward our goals!

I am off track with exercise - just not doing any - but keeping my eating on plan. The sad part is, I LOVE EXERCISE. Seriously love it. Unless I have a fever or seriously ill, I should never skip exercising six days a week. I feel great when I exercise and love the results - and if I don't start again ON JUNE 3, 2016, I…
