  • I've had mine since they came out in January - love it! I tested the heart rate function during Zumba class with my Polar chest strap monitor and it was within a beat or two of the Polar every time I checked. Just got my husband one for Father's Day and he loves seeing which one of us had more steps in the day :).
  • K33p3rs and Fab5Momplus3...I could have written your posts! In the same boat - I blew up my old account and started fresh...I found I was avoiding logging my weight because I was embarrassed about my steps backwards (which is silly, because those numbers are private anyway). I guess it's all about moving forward again and…
  • I have a Charge HR and love it! I actually wore a Polar chest strap HRM and my Fitbit during several Zumba sessions and the Charge was right on with the chest strap HRM, so I'm happy with that aspect of it. I like being able to easily check my steps during the day (and estimated calorie burn) without having to sync with my…
  • To my younger self: don't tolerate abuse or mistreatment, no matter how much you think you love him - you deserve better and will find better. Don't let yourself "unplug" when things get hard - live in the moment. The fat is not a good camouflage - it won't hide you from the bad guys, the lack of confidence hides you from…
  • Hi! I've been over 300, and close to 200 (haven't been under that since I was 16). I'm in the middle now, but working back to the magical onederland! Feel free to add me :).
  • Feel free to add me!
  • same here :) feel free to add!
  • What kss1231 said :). this is excellent as well:http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1"
  • Feel free to add me :). I was successful with MFP before, then slacked off (and have the weight creep to prove it). I'm back and committed to finishing the job this time! I've lost about 70 lbs from my high weight, and have another 75 to go go from where I am today.
  • Feel free to add me - I'm 38, and a mom to a 13 year old and 6 year old twins. Married for 14 years and working full time. I have gained and lost...but got serious about it in Jan'13. Lost about 80, and gained back about 20 when I stopped logging earlier this year. I'm working to get back on track and would like some new…
  • I'm in this boat too!! I lost about 80 lbs in 2013, and got too comfortable not tracking and slipped back into old bad habits. I was not happy when I stepped on the scale a couple of days ago. I blew up my old profile, and decided to start anew - looking for new friends too! Add me as well :)
  • Feel free to add me. Started at 318, lost 90, but fell off the wagon the last couple of months. I've gained back 5 lbs (booo) and am getting back in gear! I have another 60 lbs to go, or so :)
  • Not a GA native, but have lived in the Atlanta area for 11 years and don't plan on leaving!
  • My first initial (S) & "and" & hubby's initials (JAR) and wedding anniversary :).
  • If you're not at the max yet, I'd love to join. I've got another 60 pounds to go. Thanks!
  • Feel free to add me! I've got another 50 to go to get to my goal, but I'm well on the way. I agree with other posters - be honest when logging your calories, and I love my HRM :). It is a lifestyle change, so stick with things you can do for the long haul :).
  • I was living with an abusive loser (the last of a number of bad choices), and the girl in the cube next to me at work kept telling me that she knew the perfect guy for me, when I was ready to leave the loser. One day I finally woke up, decided to leave the loser, and decided I didn't want to meet anyone - I hadn't been…
  • I love PB2 - even my 12 year old loves it!
  • For us, it is totally worth it. Not saying it's always easy, but it's worth it. We're not a typical couple - we met and were living together and engaged within 3 weeks. We got married a year later, and a year after that had our first child. We've been happily married now for 13 years, and added 2 more kids along the way.…
  • Congratulations! Thanks for sharing your inspiring story :) Brought a tear to my eye and a smile to my face!
  • This x 2. It's all me. I always felt heavy (even when I really wasn't as a kid), and after a traumatic experience, used my fat as a shield. I felt safer blending into the background, and not being noticed. I did not take care of myself, and ignored myself for a long, long time. I finally woke up, let the fear go, and…
  • Feel free to add me :). 38, 5'6", got another 55 lbs to go to hit my goal.
  • I pulled an old suit jacket out of the closet to try on - it used to juuuust barely button. If I had to sit down, I had to unbutton it. It was so big on me, I looked like a kid wearing my dad's jacket :).
  • I put them in as a custom exercise, and used my HRM to determine my calorie burn.
  • I'm 38, 3 kids (12, 5 yo twins) (married). My initial goal is to lose 130 lbs - 87 pounds into it! Feel free to add me :) Advice? take those dreaded before pics and measurements. You'll be glad you did :). You can do this!
  • I just looked at the p90xcalories website, and it's running high versus my HRM. I normally burn 400-500 calories per full workout, per my Polar FT7 (highest being for plyo :)).

  • A co-worker told me today that I should be very proud of how far I've come, and that I'm giving my daughters a great start in life. That's what it's all about! :)
  • Agree with the other posters - get an HRM. I find MFP way overestimates my calorie burn (almost 1,000 calories for an hour of Zumba per MFP, but 570 (usually) per my HRM). Best investment I've made since I started this endeavor!
  • Feel free to add me. I've got another 50 to go :)
