I'd like to join! Perfect timing

I've done this so many times and am always disappointed in myself for letting it get so far. The reasons? 1. Watching food intake is hard and sometimes I get lax out of fatigue. Then I'm left with a taste for everything that helps keep me heavy. And I INDULGE. It's gross and self destructive. I don't know why I do this to…

This is a very personal question so just know that you will be supported and loved no matter which way you go. It's great to talk to us on the internet about this but I definitely think you should get the facts straight from medical professionals, especially those w/o an agenda (ie, ask a holistic practicioner AND a…

It sounds like she is already doing the best she can. Honestly, 30 lbs over 20 yrs is not that bad as far as gaining goes. I've watched all my high school friends pack on over 50 lbs in the past 15 yrs. w/o having kids. They are still very pretty and far from obese. From what I can see, they haven't all went crazy and…

I've been fluctuating between 200 and 250 my entire adult life. Either way, people tend to notice when my weight changes by about 30 lbs. Before that, only the seam of my pants seems to care. I lost 12 months over the last month but nobody except my mother can tell - I even asked my best friend and my boyfriend hasn't said…

I'm in a program where we are taught to eat every 4-6 hours, have 14 grams of protein per meal, stay within our calorie range (use 1 lb per week), not to eat our exercise calories back, and to try to incorporate physical activity into our lives. That's it - nothing is off limits. Honestly, to stay within your calories most…

Endo for me! I like big men - they don't have to be in shape. Actually, I'm attracted to naturally thick, beefy, chubby goes. I like big, hard bellies with strong arms. And hair. . .If I were a gay man I'd be into bears all the way.

I'm sure people can notice. They are probably just afraid to say something because it can be considered rude, weight is a touchy subject, some people don't want to discuss weight at all, and you never know if somebody has a health issue that is causing them to loose/gain weight. I think more and more people are being…

One egg microwaved on a small saucer for 60 seconds, a slice of ezekiel's bread, artichoke spread or cheese, and a leaf or two of romaine lettuce. I usually eat it as I am walking out the door. It's fast and delicious.

WARNING - slightly off topic I just can't let this go - Being fat does NOT necessarily show a lack of commitment, dedication, or common sense - especially in a situation like the OPs where she became overweight as a child, prior to her ability to make her own choices about what she put into her body. (Disclaimer: I was…

Thanks to everyone who posted about the dangers of very low calorie diets. A few years ago, I unintentionally went on a LCD - I eliminated ALL refined carbs (well, except alcohol in social situations), ate very, very little whole grains, and basically existed on vegetables, fruits, chicken, beef, and protein shakes. I…

5'4 goal is 165 (I have a large frame)

I don't consider it junk b/c it isn't made with a lot of chemicals/artificial products. They look good, actually. For me, though, I know I would have to seperate the bars immediately so that I don't eat them all at once (one at work, one at home, give one to a friend right away, etc.)

Well . . . most of the time when I see nude people I think of sex (unless I'm in the sauna). But I don't think that's wrong and I don't apologize for it. We are actually animals, interested in procreation.

I did this twice this week. I find it's worse when I don't have enough fiber throughout the day. Try adding beans or whole grains to some of your earlier meals. Also, eating every few hours really works best for me (although it can be hard to do). If I plan to eat a little before bed, I can usually make it till morning. If…

I'm open. Some days healthy, some days horrific. But, I try.

It just happens sometimes. I say, if you don't loose any weight OR inches for a whole month, then switch up your routine. Then, give the new routine a month to get results.

Baked Spaghetti Squash (think baked ziti/lasagna substitute). 1. Boil a large spaghetti squash on the stove for about 45 minutes each. Open it, remove seeds (discard), and take out the stringy part of the squash (keep). 2. Coat a baking dish with olive oil. 3. Saute Onions, Garlic (peppers to taste) in a saucepan, add…

My go to is an egg white omlette with onions, spinach and feta. No toast, no homefries. I have to ask the server not to bring these items to the table b/c if they arrive, I WILL eat them.

I've read that 2 servings of fruit per day is the minimum. Maybe you should just choose one low glycemic index fruit per day to start, like blueberries, strawberries, or canteloupe. If you eat the fruit combined with a fat, it doesn't spike your blood sugar as much (think avocado, walnuts, or almonds).

Good job! I can't wait to be you. :)

PEANUT BUTTER! It's healthier (no cholesterol, less sodium) AND you will feel better about yourself for not giving in!

LOVE the quote in your signature!

I'm hoping to hear of something that's worked b/c this is my shape, too. Once, South Beach Diet helped plus kickboxing and weight training helped me modify my shape a little, but I'm doing the same exercises now and no results yet. 300 crunches? Amazing

You were a CUTE bridesmaid. You look terrific thinner! You must be so happy.

Your face looks much slimmer!

A box of frozen spinach with 1-2 spoonfuls of locatelli cheese, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder. Add a few spoons of water and frozen spinach in a saucepan till spinach is hot and excess water has evaporated, mix in cheese, garlic, and red pepper. If desired, add 1/2 cup canned chickpeas.

So what did you get? (I also would've opted for 3 ~ with the side salad, and a glass of red wine)

Hi. If you have health insurance I strongly recommend making an appointment with a nutritionist so you can hear info from an expert. I certainly have no official knowledge so take this with a grain of salt: 1. I've yo-yo'd a bit and have found my weight is best controlled when I eat frequent, smaller meals. Maybe snacking…

This "disorder" sounds silly to me. Food is fuel, not playtime. I can't imagine why clean obsessively clean eating is a problem. Of course I think somebody has a problem if their diet is so restrictive as to cause them health problems or deny their body essential nutrients. And I think anyone who looks down on others for…
