I think that you have to stop relying on motivation to get you there. Just start doing it, even if you don't feel incredibly motivated or excited. Even if it starts out by going on a five minute walk around the block. Dedicate a few minutes to it and soon you'll get back into the habit and not really need the "motivation."

I get frustrated when people ask me questions about how I lost weight and I say it was diet and exercise and then I'm told that's not possible. Yep, it is.... Also, people who tell me that my goal weight too low, it's my goal, not yours....just saying. And in general, I hate the statement "it is what it is." See, I think,…

It doesn't have to be elaborate at all. My husband proposed to me in our house, simply with a meaningful song playing in the background. What he said to me in his proposal meant much more to me than any megatron would have. Good luck and congratulations!!

Eat, one day of going a few calories over will not hurt you. If you don't want to go too far over, reach for a lean protein and veggies. With 130 calories left, you could have a chicken breast and a cup of broccoli and be just a bit over goal.

I feel like a serious struggler!! My diet has been awful the last few weeks, but other than that, I have been a pretty clean eater and a serious exerciser. My scale has gone up nearly ten pounds since last November!! I have gone down a size or so in clothing, so I know I am making changes, but not what I want to see when…

1. Investments (Registered Client Associate) 2. 8 3. 4 - I kind of rock at my job, but am ready for the next step and too scared to take it 4. I LOVE my clients. My financial advisors is really another story, they are not always the nicest, easiest people to deal with and might be able to sell an empty shoe box but really…

Yep, just the strap. I know you can put it in the wash machine, but that just makes me too nervous. I've just put my in the sink with some water and a bit of detergent and rinsed by hand.
-
I had this problem after wearing it for a month or so....I, of course, didn't read the manual where it said that you need to wash the strap regularly. I started washing it after three or four wears (just in the sink with some soap) and it works wonderfully now.....

I pay $65 per month for Kosama (group fitness) and we have a family membership at a local gym which is $39 per month (we get a very good discount through my husband's employer, normally that runs $89/month). We also pay $39 a month there for daycare so we can go together. If it helps you, pushes you, and you can afford it,…

When I was pregnant I would get horribly sick when I took my pre-natal vitamins. My doctor recommended that I start taking the children's gummy vitamins. They taste a little weird (not like delicious little gummy bears), but I didn't get sick either...maybe they're worth a try.

Eggs - I eat a ridiculous amount of eggs.

Can I ask, because I never understand and maybe you can shed light on this, will you do Body by Vi forever? If not, how do you go back to eating real food and not gain back? For me, I needed to learn to eat better, healthier, and smaller portions to feel as though my weight loss is sustainable and be able to maintain more…

Yes, I have kids, a (spotless) house and yard, I work full time, I have two part time jobs, I work out (nearly) every day, parents, continuing education, friends, a volunteering gig, a (very satisfied) husband, and parents (his and mine), I am on two boards for my church AND I still have plently of time to stalk people on…

Or their treadmill tells them they burned 8,000 calories and decided to believe it...

First ones I can remember....Kindergarten - white LA Gear hi-tops with pink twisty things on the side. I know what you're thinking, and yes, I was super cool!

I go back and forth on what I think about this. I like the idea of it, but (for me) a cheat day leads to a cheat weekend. Generally speaking, if I want something I have it. I workout pretty hard and throughout a week, I'm usually under my calorie goal, I don't sweat a few calories over here and there. Also, once you've…

I switched to almond milk after my brother convinced me to try it. I love it! I actually really love it on Special K Vanilla Almond cereal! If you buy the "original" it is a little lower in calorie count, but if I remember correctly it has more calcium than regular milk. Maybe give it a try, if you like it, good and if you…

I have a Polar FT 4. I absolutely love it!! It has a chest strap, but I don't even know it's there!!

Between six and seven usually. It is split probably 70/30 cardio to lifting.

Also, please keep in mind that unless you are using heartrate monitor, the accuracy of the amount of calories burned is really questionable. For example, MFP was giving 700 (+/-) calories burned for 60 minutes of kickboxing. I started using a heart rate monitor and the most calories burned during my class is was 540. I…

The pre-packaged meals really helped me out when I first started out. They helped me see a real portion size and get used to eating smaller portions. I still eat them occassionally now, but decided that if this is going to last long term I'm going to have to learn how to cook and eat healthy(ish). That being said, by…

A good kickboxing class if I need an enery/moral boost. If I need to feel like I'm in more control, I clean up the clutter!

When I hit my goal weight, my husband promised me a little lift and (he thinks) a little extra! If it will make you more comfortable in your own skin, go for it!

I'm not 100% sure how I will plan for Thanksgiving, but here is what I have learned: even if I indulge, it is no where near how I indulged before I started on this journey. My tummy can no longer handle multiple helpings of deliciousness. Also, in the back of mind, whether I'm trying to let go and eat whatever I want, I am…

I love to hate burpees....we do things called Kosamies too...squat, plank, push-up, plank jack, push-up, jump to the sky....I hate them and love them all at the same time....

I wish someone would have talked to me. I knew I was uncomfortable, but I had no idea how out of control I was. I didn't see the fat girl in the mirror, I wore oversized clothes that were cozy and made me feel "smaller," I never had my picture taken so there was no concrete evidence of my growing waist band. I don't know…

It took me an incredibly long time to see a difference in myself. I think we look at ourselves so frequently that we don't see the small changes that our friends and family are seeing. I still have a hard time seeing a difference when I look in the mirror, but when I look at pictures from two years ago and today, the…
