Finished New Rules. Now on Stronglifts about 6 weeks in, Squat 125 5X5, deadlift 155 5 reps only. I am 5 2 1/2 and stuck at 136. Trying to get back to 127. Other than frustratingly slow weight loss, NOTHING has changed my body and my fitness like strength training. Love lifting heavy.

SteAnn_ Just chiming in on heavy periods. If you are not done having children you might want to consider the Mirena IUD. Most women don't get a real period on it. Only spotting and I didn't even get that. We are done with kids and went the vasectomy route but I am thinking of going back with the IUD because of the…

awesome results!!! I can't believe that was all after Stage 1! Keep it up!! And thanks for sharing.

I skipped it and I'm still plugging away at chinups and pullups. I think it's totally fine. And 7 is brutal in its own special way.

Still reading all the updates on this board and floored by everyone's strength gains and progress. Not much "progress" on the weight loss aspect of this challenge. down about 1 1/2 lbs but clothes getting losser and looser. last stage of P90x (which will be close to 120 days by the time it is all done but who's counting).…

Beeps: So huge about those 5lbs!!! that is awesome. Can't wait to hear how you like Stage 6!

awesome progress pics! Def see allover tightening. Thanks for sharing.

Great progress pics Sam!! Thanks for sharing. Jealous of your bicep groove there!

Saw a glimmer of scale loss last week but now it is back up again. I think it still may be under there somewhere so will recheck in a few days of better water consumption and end of hormonal retention issues. So will likely not be achieving anywhere close to the 10lb goal range and would be thrilled with even 2-3lbs at…

YES! I think this is the right mindset, Beeps. If we can all recognize and celebrate all the things are bodies can do, have done while still reaching for new goals whether it is strength or body fat percentage or how clothes are fitting that is the key to longterm health and happiness. I cannot ask my body to do more…

Yup. I think shoot for twice a week and just keep on doing it.

I'm with Birdy. Take note of the scale if you must but otherwise work hard, eat well, measure and especially take pictures. The rest will follow in time. And get psyched about how strong you are all getting!!! And the loss of the dreaded jiggle...

YEA!!! Thanks for sharing. You are totally rocking it the healthy and sustainable way!!!

Still here! Bad food weekend as shared by many it seems:smile: Trying to get back on track food and exercise wise. Got up early today to get my workout in and even thinking about throwing in a little cardio later if it works out. Eating everything in sight and turns out it's just about TOM so that all makes sense. Think…

so great!! keep it up and thanks for sharing.

Still here! Pretty poor food choices the last several days so brought the treats to work where they were gobbled up and not by me. Had a good workout today and refocusing on food choices. Still no love from the scale but increasing definition and now the new size 6's seem looser too so something is working. Might have to…

I think it might be sodium related. I am not good about monitoring mine but I had Chinese food last night and I can really feel it today. If you go back through your diet i think you wil find that many days it is over 2500 and closer to 3000. This is ny no means a criticism. I haven't even been tracking mine but I can feel…

awesome results. Screw the scale. The proof is in the pics % always say. And great nsv with the jeans! Thanks for sharing. Keep it up!

I too did it the way it was written. I did not do Stage 6 which is technically optional. I was just ready to mix it up at that point. Thrilled with results. takes time and commitment but really works if you work it.

So great!!! measurements are key with this program. wish I had taken them to try to quantify the changes.

Sounds like everyone is doing well! I had a great girls weekend which included the NSV of the friends telling me I needed to get smaller pants followed by actually getting smaller pants in the clothes store. Very exciting. Since I've been back it's been a little less exciting (read stressful). This is week 4 of P90x which…

Beeps: We have 3 kids as well. 7 1/2, about to be 6, 3 1/2. We have a babysitter who thankfully helps straighten up. Now if I could only get a personal chef then I'd really be living large:wink: I think it is hard not to at least check in with the scale when you see other people's posts and tickers about how much weight…

I'm in! For the next 10 weeks I will: Continue current regimen of 3 days strength,1 yoga, 2 cardio. Continue to eat 1800 and possibly up to 2000 on hard workout days Drink more water. Really fall short on this. I drink coffee in the morning and then very little the rest of the day. My hope is: move closer to pre-pregnancy…

I'm in for the weight loss challenge while still lifting. reluctant to risk losing any of this hard earned muscle so know I cannot cut calories. strangely the scale has moved in the right direction the past two days when I've been about 200 over so 2000 total. Maybe a sign that that is my sweet spot? hard to know. Feel…

if you haven't checked out www.skinnytaste definitely do. a ton of great recipes and she puts all the nutrition info on there. everything I have tried I love.

@jhcowan: I do it at home. It is mostly free weights. A few things needed like an exercise ball. You will eventually need some heavier weights and ideally a squat rack with an olympic barbell (45#) that you can load up with weight. He has some substitutions if you don't have a cable system. Hope that helps!

can't wait to try this. thanks so much!

I don't know. I'm only three weeks in. I am not doing the drink or bars but I make sure I get my protein in with nonfat plain greek yogurt, grilled chicken, tuna, hard boiled eggs (sometimes whole sometimes just whites)etc. I am sticking with my existing macros 40/30/30 and making sure I hit those and stick to my calorie…

Manic: Great progress! Glad you're feeling better about things. Keep it up!!!

Ugh. Wish I had a different answer to this question. I really haven't had a noticeable weight change either up or down. Was eating at a deficit then recently increased to maintenance. Close to goal (about 10lbs) but seems pretty stubborn. That being said I feel confident that I have increased my lean muscle mass and…
