Just thought of something else I sometimes make, like mac and cheese, but using extra firm tofu in place of the macaroni. When its baked and has cheese on it, it tastes so much like macaroni and cheese, I guess the texture is alot of it, and tofu absorbs the flavors of what it's cooked with, so works for me.

something I have for lunch alot is 2 rice cakes topped with a slice of american cheese, zapped for 20 seconds or so. I switch it around at times, using different types of cheese and adding a few mini pepperoni's, maybe a couple sliced black olives, a few little pieces of pineapple, you get the idea. It works for me and…

roasting them really is a good way to bring out the flavor. you can put a little oil and onion soup mix over them, toss them around and bake, they are delicious that way. I've done that with every combination. These days I go for low carb veggies roasted this way-awesome. Another thing I do is stir fry in a little bit, tsp…

I tried out your recipe yesterday, it was so good. I only made 2 rolls and replaced the eggroll wrapper with LC latortilla factory 50 cal, 3 net carb tortilla's and did everything else exactly the same, they were delicious. Thank you for a great recipe.

I love bacon and eggs or sausage but if I have it, it's usually at dinner time or when I'm off work for more of a brunch, and that keeps me full til dinner time when I do that. I never eat toast with it. Omelets are also great, with guacamole, cheese, and salsa. My usual breakfast that I have in a rush on days I'm working…

you look so serious.

Mine is set to 1350, and I'm 5'6. probably older than most of you. I'm also watching my carbs a bit because I'm diabetic with some other issues going on. I believe I set it at sedentary when I started out. I usually finish the day under my calorie count, but I try not to go any lower than 1200 most days because don't want…

Thanks for sharing the before picture. You look beautiful in both pictures, but the weightloss took years off your age. You look so young in the after picture. So glad the hard work has paid off with your health, too. That's kind of where I am, I have been spurred on by terrible bloodwork I had done in December. Amazing…

I was wondering about it too, and I think I checked on it and it seemed expensive for what the average weight loss was, but since my brain is like a colander these days, don't even ask me what it cost or what the average weight loss was, cause I can barely remember what day it is these days. I'd love to hear if anyone has…

Hi, I've been here since about january 2nd, I'm going to be here a while, I have a ways to go, but would be glad to give and get encouragement, fee free to friend me!

Lh, You can add me to your buddy list, I'd be glad to give and receive encouragement from anyone. I have been trying and failing for a few years to get back on track, but it took a huge wakeup call of terrible lifethreatening bloodwork to jolt me into serious action. Sometimes those kind of jolts are exactly what we need.…

I've been lowcarbing for a long time, but pretty much lost myself for a while during some difficult years in my life. Now I've been getting myself back on track and had lost 10 lbs between Nov and Jan 1 when I joined this website to log my food. Since starting on the website I've lost 24 more lbs, so I'm doing pretty good…

The other night I made some chili without beans. I used a half lb of 85% lean ground beef, browned in a skillet with sliced up hot peppers, about 1/4 onion diced, a couple celery stalks, sliced up, and a zuchinni sliced up, cooked that all up with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic, and about 2 spoons of victorias hot…

Lately a plain rice cake or cheese flavored, they are 35 calories and 7 carbs, with a slice of american cheese (60-70 calries) You can also just sprinkle with a little pepperjack or whatever you have, go light on the cheese. I've also sprinkled tabasco on it, Works for me, I zap in the microwave about 25 seconds the cheese…

I'll try this, thank you!

Thanks for bringing this up, I've been looking as well, and see a lot of really expensive ones over 1000. I too don't want to break the bank on a treadmill, but I need something. I use to have one I got at sears but I used it as a coatrack after I broke my back, ended up selling it and now I wish I hadn't.

I think you're doing great!

If I was your age, I would do this in a heartbeat. This is so much prettier than some of the colors I've seen out there. I love the way the lavender fades to a lighter color at the ends! Wouldn't it be great if the color actually made your hair smell like lavender? i love that lavender color.... the fade look is so…

My reward is to see my blood sugar going down and hopefully getting off some of my meds. Being able to fit in some of my nicer clothes again. I might have to steal another persons idea of adding charms to my charm bracelet. I love that idea! So right now I owe myself about 3 new charms =)

OH how could I forget The Lion King, and Titanic!!

I have several, but the first ones that popped to mind is Braveheart, Shenandoah (an old James Stewart movie, awesome movie), and The Passion of the Christ. The Way We Were with Redford and streisand also for some reason gets to me. I'm a crybaby, there, I've admitted it LOL

What is this, a diet or just exercise? I haven't heard of it before.

Welcome! I haven't posted anything til today, but have been here since January 1 or 2, logging my meals. I have been counting calories plus cutting carbs quite a bit. I am very insulin resistant but didn't realize how bad my diabetes had gotten til I got my labwork back last time. I had been working on cutting things out…

How did you make the special sauce? I always thought it resembled 1000 island. Looks good.
